If that was too rich for the Cowboys we may as well just quit looking for anymore signings on d line at this point.

It's disgusting how inept the FO is.

Talent acquisition in Dallas has hit a new low-water mark. If Mac squeezes the same 8 wins out of this team it will be a miracle. This roster is littered with wind blown trash. Scrubs everywhere with no replacements.

I'm starting to think Stephen is trying to get Clowney on a 1 year deal and they need all the extra money they can scrape up to make the deal happen. They're trying to replace Quinn with a splash signing.

I’m going to regret wishing this. It’s a fool’s errand. I’m hoping they go after Griffin and Bell. Then go into the draft for corners and d tackles and a slot receiver.

More like huge contract mistakes.

Right after making them.

And with their biggest of all - Jalen Ramsey - on the horizon.

That GM is a hack who should be fired.

Possibly but if Gurley was healthy and still at that 2018 level they would be hanging onto him.

They went aggressive and have to retool as some signing have backfired sooner than expected

Griffen would go a long way towards salvaging this defensive line into something respectable at least.

No cap room, no draft picks, no championship.

An now, no hope either.
I read somewhere 4 players take up 100M of their cap. Tough to field a serious contender with that and limited picks. Of course, they can renegotiate those and kick the can down the road some. They went all-in to win the market-share battle against the Chargers and sell their stadium.

I hope this isn’t a foretelling of the Cowboys in 2 years.

They really need 1 more starter signed on the d-line. Would free up the first 2 rounds of the draft for secondary and would leave round 3 for WR #3.

I think they're showing just how reckless their recent moves have been. It's no way to run a football team.

Rams made one huge mistake that the Cowboys better watch it for. They failed to draft well enough to surround that team with young players on cheap contracts. They actually went out of their way to get rid of draft picks. That RAmsey traded was moronic.

I think that's the thing. May be they don't like their team and they are letting them all go for new players in the draft.

So why not the worst one and biggest waste of money on the entire roster?

And it's not like they have 20 draft picks to fill all of their needs, even if they somehow managed to strike gold on every one.

And that one hasn't even truly cost them yet!
