Eagles close to acquiring Slay from Det

Each still has their issues. Philly has glaring problems at WR and I think safety is still a concern as I am not sold that moving Jalen Mills to S cures what ails them.

We have issues along the DL and S still IMO.

I'm going to give you the real about what Howie Roseman has done.

Gave Slay a huge contract.
Traded a 3rd and 5th rounder for him in a deep draft for receivers. They had a compensatory pick I believe in the 3rd so that should still give them a chance to address receiver there.
He's paying big money to 3 position on the DL. Fletcher Cox, Malik Jackson and Hargave. Moronic.
One of the worst secondaries in the league last year........re-signs most of those guys this offseason including McLeod and Mills.

Also the same guy who drafted Goedert in the 2nd round when he had Ertz already. Gave big money to Alshon Jeffrey's and Desean Jackson who are both prone to injuries. Also traded a 3rd rounder for Golden Tate just for him to walk after a few games.

You guys cap for this dude but these past 2 years have been suspect to say the least and downright bad to say the most.

Your debating results. That is only half the story. He already has SB victory on his watch. The real issue is he gives fans what they want....swing big all the time and be relentless. I live in Philly area and I can't remember a GM who was so adorned. The Jones on other hand make it public knowledge they go on vacation the 1st week of FA. Its bad message. It means they are out of touch with want fans want. It gives air of entitlement and insincerity. The fact the Jones haven't won anything in 25 years makes it look especially bad.

I don’t want a GM who does what the fans want. That’s moronic. If I wanted that I’d ask them to hire a fan. These moves are moronic and if those fans truly enjoy them it’s fitting because they are morons. He’s living off of 2017 and hasn’t done anything worth a damn since. I just want Jerry to make smart moves. I don’t need splash moves just smart moves.

Dline rotate out way more than o line, you can play all 3 at times especially vs dallas even though coaching will be different this time. Jackson was injury prone. Cox has played alot throughout the years. Cox can rush from the outside at times. I think we invested too little in the dline recently, atleast on the interior. If we would have had a chris jones esque presence last year does that mean maeliek collins and antuan woods would have been irrelevant? No, they would have still played crucial parts in getting to a superbowl. D line is pivotal.

Associated Press made Kelce first team All-Pro.

Kelce was voted the pro bowl starter by his peers.

I have no doubt Cowboys fans would prefer to see Frederick’s name in all those spots, but most overall are pretty unanimous on Kelce.

Good luck with that. Their pass rush wasn't good before, try going with a 3DT scheme and it will only be worse.

2 playoffs, 1 NFCEast title, over 100 total games missed by starters due to injury. This is all in reference to Howie’s job as a team builder, hard to put that one on him.

He needs to get results, and if he is to fix the injury epidemic we’ve had it probably starts with jettisoning the old men, which this offseason is about.

FWIW, Jackson is only a $4.4MM cap hit for them this year before it goes to $13MM next year. Next year appears to be the doozy when you look at it............. Jackson will be a $13MM, Cox's cap hit will be $22MM next year and Hargrave will be $16MM.

And based on spotrac there isn't alot of relief in terms of cutting or trading any of those guys.

I don’t care about excuses. Fact is I said people on this site including you hype up these moves for the last few years just for them to fail. I expect that again. If they do better than that’s fine. Good for them. It’s funny it seems like every year guys get hurt for you guys. At what point does that stop becoming a excuse and maybe it’s a reflection of the type of players your covet?
