One hell of a cap hit to release him and makes a statement about overpaying running backs these days.
According to Schefter, the team spent weeks trying to trade him and cut the running back before they would’ve had to pay him $10.5 million at 4 p.m. EST today. Gurley signed a 4 year, $60 million contract extension with the Rams on July 24, 2018.
By releasing Gurley before June 1, the Rams would have $20.15 million in dead money, according to overthecap.com. But the Rams would save about $10 million over the next two years if he was not on the roster.
Rams are proving to us THEY MADE MASSIVE MISTAKES THE LAST 3 YEARS. Goff in my opinion, will be proven to be another one in a year from now. He;s Ty Detmer with a slightly better arm. Last year proved my point.
3 years from now. LOL.Zeke contract is structured to cut for little cost in I believe 2023
Zeke.Foreshadowing of Zeke and Dak?????
Zeke hasn't even proven to be good. Just healthy and able to carry massive load...for now.No most of that is due to injury. That's their fault. The guy is good but was injury prone in college
I think in 2021 actually. Pollard and a yet to be named RB will share the load.2022 Dallas Cowboys: We have released Ezekiel Elliot
Bull___ Zeke isn't hurt and was very productive last year. Not every running back that gets paid is the same. You are ridiculous for even making that comparison.Zeke will meet the same fate.
They also released OLB Clay Matthews
That's nonsense, Gurley has bad knees and was never going to live up to his outrageous contract. Zeke is as healthy as a horse and he has the power of one. I know many folks don't like his price tag either but the legalese in his contract is really Cowboys friendly. Zeke is worth his contract and I believe Mike McCarthy will see to it that he is used correctly. Apples and oranges, IMO.Zeke will meet the same fate. Rams owning up to their mistake

Hasn't proven to be good and isn't efficient.Zeke hasn't even proven to be good. Just healthy and able to carry massive load...for now.
The guy isn't efficient.
