Meh. Hill only accumulated 600 yards receiving last year.

I would rather have Quez Watkins.

Quez Watkins*, WR, Southern Miss
Height: 6-0. Weight: 185. Arm: 32.88. Hand: 9.
40 Time: 4.36.
Projected Round (2020): 3-5.
3/7/20: Watkins was a solid producer for Southern Miss in 2019, totaling 64 receptions for 1,178 yards with six touchdowns. In 2018, he had 72 catches for 889 yards and nine scores. Watkins came through with an impressive combine performance, according to sources, and had an electric 40 time.

If they both were there I'd take Hill but it's just an opinion and there isn't really a right answer, they probably wont' take either.

Quez Watkins

Overview

Early-entry prospect with adequate size and speed but needs to prove he can rise to the occasion against NFL competition. Watkins' confidence has been affected by level of competition and his catch focus appears to change when he works into traffic. Hip tightness limits route effectiveness, but he runs well enough to work vertically and across the field with modest separation and above-average jump-ball talent. His leap in production is a good sign, but if he doesn't do a better job of getting away from press, he will have a hard time making it. The potential outweighs the concerns and he should be a Day 3 selection with a shot at becoming a WR4/5.

Weaknesses
  • Unable to maintain level of play against better competition
  • Hemmed up by physicality of Alabama's Trevon Diggs
  • Hands and feet need more schooling to defeat cramped release
  • Hip tightness restricts flow of route
  • Struggles to bend and brake on intermediate comebacks
  • Late adjusting to underthrown balls
  • Shows signs of skittishness working into traffic
  • Appears to be a body-catcher by nature

Meh. The opinion of wannabes who probably never played football or never excelled in it. I'd rather trust my eyes and past experience.

If Proche, Hill, Gibson, Jackson, Coulter, DuVernay, and Lipscomb were gone and we hadn't picked a WR yet I'd probably consider him with our second fifth round pick.

That is so not true. Jerry's always spent big sometimes too big. Stephen has reigned him in some in an effort to better manage the salary cap.

Least amount of $ spent in the nfl on player payroll since 2016. There’s no argument to be made. And the results speak for themselves.

That's because we've been playing with a QB on his rookie deal. Stephen new this pay Dak time would come and had to prepare.

I really like what the team did.

Start off by not allowing Dak's agent to get a bidding war going and tagging him with the exclusive tag. Thats what his agent was hoping to do. When the deal is done, Dak's 2020 caphit will be around the what it is right now on the tag.

Amari Coopers deal is a home run. Get your mind off the 100mil and look at it, and it could end up being a 2 yr deal worth 40mil. But most likely he goes into yr 3 and gets restructured with an extention giving him more money from the base and trning into SB money since the initial SB is so small. They have done this with Tyron i think twice.

I laugh at the money Byron and Quinn got. 2 stupid teams desperate for players. On one had you have a CB who needs S help or he's toast. And a DE who is virtually unplayable on running downs.

Thank you to the Raiders for taking players dallas very well could've re-signed and been back at point A.

I have no problem with this team going into the yr with Awuzie, Lewis, Brown, and Canady as the 4 CBs. Im sure Dallas will add one in the draft.

Safety is another thing. They need a veteran back there.

Im good with the McCoy signing, but i want to see more. I think Crawford will end up taking a paycut once asked. And i think they're looking to sign a big name either a rusher or a safety. Me im hoping its Clowney. There are alot of good safeties in the draft. Delpit, McKinney, but i like Dugger, and Winfield later in the draft too.

I really dont think this team will want to pay what it would cost for Sanders. I really could see Reagor on this team. Could see Pittman too because i think this team is going to lose Gallup.
You know what I like most is investing franchise money not just in talent but mental make up.
What do I mean by mental makeup? Stable talents like Tyron Smith huge investments... so Im good investing in Coop.

Are you trying to prove my point for me? The 3 years following Dak’s surprise rookie year were the exact time to spend big to go after a super bowl. We had both Dak and Zeke on cheap rookie deals. If ownership didn’t spend then they never will. The status quo is obvious, keep the team just good enough to not be bad and in the news without spending big $.

As of this moment he’s the only RDE on this roster with any starting experience or real NFL caliber RDE. If they can sign someone else and Randy Gregory gets reinstated - I think Crawford will 100% be cut.

Its the second official day of FA and they have resigned 10 FA in house and two from outside, that takes up all their time.

I think they have to see what Crawford will renegotiate down to before they make a decision, there is reason to prioritize that over negotiations with a CB or DE. There is absolutely no chance Crawford comes back on his current contract but no reason to worry about it this week either.

I have concerns with Awuzie. Chido can't even remotely compensate for the loss of Jones when you look at his coverage lapses throughout last season.
Did you bother to look at how Dallas played JOnes compared to Awuzie? Its night and day.

One was covered by a S over the top or he was toast. The other was played off the ball in a zone type coverage and at times was responsible for 2-3 routes. Why because he is a very good tackler.

Richards defense was the fall of the 2019 season.

You got proof of this? You say this quite a bit that Jones always had safety help and no one ever seems to agree with you. I googled to see if I could find any analysis that would show this and I found pretty much nothing.

KJ Hill is very slow for a receiver, much less a slot receiver. He ran a 4.60 40 at the combine. Not good.

I think something was up with him at the combine. Maybe some minor injury slowing him a bit. I seen all his games and he seems plenty fast enough. But also we are talking about him going up against players not as good as NFL players, or a good part of them that he played against.

But he seems to play fast. Would like to see him run a 40 again.

Lol anybody who think s hill is slow because of the combine clearly has never seen 1 snap of him playing. This is 10000000% fact
