I just read a article about gregory
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...future-in-nfl-ill-be-back-for-good-this-time/

I have a new found respect for him. How he has stayed in shape and something that just opened my eyes about him.

This articles key points for me and why i think this team is going to end up going with him over any FA or drafted guy.

1. He has never been in trouble with the law, for his marijuana use or for anything else.
2. He's stayed in great shape apparently, and has even took up boxing to improve his hand use so hes not just sitting around moping but training anyway he can.
3. He has taken accountability, he says he knew he probably wouldnt have been reinstated until the deal was done. But says if he was able to vote on the CBA he wouldve voted no because he wasnt willing to harm the future of every other nfl player to better his own.

That says alot of this guys character. I think there is alot to this guy that we dont know. I think this is why Jerry has taken care of him the way he has. Last yr i read another article written about him and what hes gone through and he was harder on himself then even Goodell.

If he can get back on the field fast i think the NFL better watch out. When he came back from sus in 2018 he was alot more refined. I think this time he will be make another jump. The way he talks you can just tell he wants to get back on the field so bad. IM rooting for him, and cant wait to see him back

I’m all for Gregory coming back. I think cba did a good job w implementing this. Gregory could be serviceable but I don’t see him getting to the point of how he was supposed to be.

Im not holding my breathe. He has to file for reinstatement then get approve. As far as him being in shape, I dont expect to say anything different. It would be dumb not to address DE for a guy that has played in 28 games the past 5 years.

I'm rooting for Gregory but it says alot about this organization's front office if we're not making any moves in FA because they're expecting a guy who hasn't played since 2018 to get reinstated and instantly become the starter
Im sure theyll bring somebody else in. Team Gregory with Chaisson and thats a devistating duo. Hell Gregory with Weaver too.

Why is this news? Last time he was suspended he worked out hard and stayed in shape, apparently the most recent suspension after that was on some technicality. This article is saying he did the same thing in this suspension as the first one.

I'm taking it one step at a time with Gregory, 6 sacks in a "break-out season" awhile back isn't that impressive.
I mean, I'm not gonna *count* on anything from him yet. But if he plays like he did last time he played for us, I'd be good with that.

I think his 6-sack season was pretty impressive considering he only played 45% of the snaps. If you give him the 60% of snaps like Quinn got last year, that number figures to be 8 instead of 6. Is 8 sacks as good as Quinn's 11.5 sacks? No. But it's better than the 5 sacks Demarcus Lawrence gave us in 62% of our defensive snaps last year, so I wouldn't turn my nose up at it and pretend like that's not production we could use.

I would love an 8-sack season out of a super cheap starting DE opposite Lawrence. I'd take that any day of the week. Especially considering this doesn't look like the right draft class for us to assume we'll get a really good one falling to us.

There was a stretch - albeit 3yrs ago - where he might've been our best player on D

Randy talks a lot and to this point in time, made a lot of empty promises.

I wanted the Cowboys to draft him coming out of college and was thrilled when we did.His only mark in the N
FL is he likes to smoke weed. uses weed to cope with anxiety.

He is a great talent and a good person and i welcome him back.

I think when they passed the new cba it opened the door for his return .

Neither is your memory of him that season.

The guy put tons of pressure on the QB even when he wasn't getting sacks. Also he was on the cheated end of a few painful penalties.

The guy is very talented and will contribute for years to come.

I didn't even think about that. The Cowboys might try to get an extension done cheaply before his price blows up after a good season.
would be smart. Give him a contract like they gave church early. Nothing expensive enough to ler him feel secure. 3 yr 12mil i think they gave church 3 yrs 8mil
