Worst case can always welcome back Benson Mayowa for cheap and he'll be only 29 in August.
He got 7 sacks and 3 FF last year and it's the most sacks he's ever had.
Raiders brought him back on a one year deal and maybe we should too.

Tank only had 5 sacks last year in case anyone forgot.

Everson Griffen or Markus Golden would be a major upgrade over Quinn.

They would be a major upgrade over what we have now. Quinn is gone. He earned and received his payday. You lost.

Your point about Quinn getting a 5 year/70m contract and saying my opinion is wrong because ‘nfl insiders are smarter than me because they do this for a living’ is pretty funny because GMs get things wrong more than they get things right. I watched every snap of every cowboys game last year and I along with several others know what we saw, but you and I have been going back and forth over Quinn for over a week now. I get you think he’s worth that 5yr/70m contract but I couldn’t disagree more. I guarantee he won’t last 2 years before getting cut, dude is TRASH and unplayable vs. the run. If we play Chicago I would run Zeke and pollard right at him and they’d probably get 400+ yards & I’m not exaggerating... he’s that bad.

My point has been confirmed. The NFL had their say, and they said that Quinn was good enough to pay $15 million a year for. You lost. You continue to look foolish. Move on. You're not doing yourself any favors trying to continue to argue a point you've already lost.

I agree with you on Crawford, we need to upgrade that position ASAP and spend that $8mil somewhere else. I’ve wanted him gone for 2 years.

I'm glad we can agree on something.

Some people mistakenly think that the new rules give past suspended player like Gregory and Josh Gordon amnesty to now do whatever they want. Those people are wrong.
Definitely means they won’t get suspended for weed. That’s all I was saying

Actually, it doesn't. Look into it. The new policy doesn't erase the sins of the past for guys like Josh Gordon and Gregory. More league stupidity for sure, but they're not free and clear.

Griffen or Golden.

Get it done. Other than Clowney, those are the only two I think left in FA that could provide real edge pressure.

Here's our DL right now:

DE - Lawrence, Armstrong, Jelks, Jackson, Crawford, Gregory
DT - McCoy, Hill, Woods

That's pretty sad.

And some people also believe Randy Gregory was some established proven pass rusher in the NFL before he left. He wasn't. He was still just potential.

And they seem to think he was far better 'against the run' than he ever truly was.

Again I'll mention that Rams playoff game, to the tune of 273 yards rushing allowed. A great deal of that was Gregory's handiwork.

Yes. Are you saying he hasn’t?
He's been ok, not nearly the dominant force that made his reputation. He's been slow out of his stance to get into the proper position. He's been slow out into his downfield blocks... In short he's been good but not great which is the same as Griffen.

but it does open the door for the Commissioner’s discretion, which would be influenced by the current labor deal.

So has Tyron. R u saying he's been good?
Yes. 3rd best LT in the entire NFC .

Problem is people base him off his 2014 all-pro season and not on his peers.

Yeah Tyron is at worst a fringe top 5 LT in the entire NFL.

People don't watch other teams so he gets these fake narratives like "not good" or "penality machine". Leno, Bakhirati, Lewan, Villanueva, Whitworth, Tunsil, Penn are franchise pro bowl caliber LT's and literally all of them had more penalties than him and everyone except Bakhirati was graded worst than him.........

LMAO at "uhh you saying Tyron has been good" ?

Uh yeah we are.

Ironically if want to see what not good LT is look at our own division. Peters can barely walk, Solder is arguably the most overpaid player in the entire NFL, and Trent Williams refused to even suit up this year.

Agree to disagree.... I like Tyron and what he has done for this team. I have immense respect for him but I think he needs surgery and rest to get back to form. He is NOT his usual dominant self. If you think he is, your watching with your heart and not your eyes.... not that I blame you. He has been a warrior for us and I hope he returns to form asap.

Gregory, Crawford, Armstrong, Jackson, Jelks. It could be worse.

I would like to see the remaining cap used in the following ways.

Trade the 5th rd comp pick to Minny for S Harris.
Sign Billings at 1T
Sign Breshad Perriman WR

Why do I keep hearing a fifth for Harris as an option? Have they mentioned wanting to trade him for less than his value?

I don't think you understood anything I posted. I never made the claims that your trying to say I made, if anything I said the opposite

My post literally states he's no longer the unanimous #1 left tackle in the NFL and I even stated the issue is people are comparing Tyron now to Tyron of 2014, not Tyron now to Tyrons current peers.

This isn't one extreme or the other. It's not Tyron is either is #1 in the league or he isn't good. There's an option in the middle which is where he currently is (isn't elite but still a high level very good player)

He can decline but still be better than 90% of his peers, that's kinda what makes a HOF player a HOF player....... (even in there decline there still fringe top 5 players at there position).

Tyron being a fringe top 5 LT in the NFL isn't even debateable. Him being #1 isn't the basis of whats "good". That's a self induced fan narrative that if he isn't peak he isn't good

Why wouldn’t they? He can’t be suspended again so now his availability isn’t in question and the talent is there. We also have a top DL coach.

He can be suspended for being arrested, just not for testing positive with the league

I'm not sure why I took what you were saying as the polar opposite of what I was saying... I think we were actually closer to agreement than disagreement. However, my point is that Griffen while good, has not been great and certainly not to the point to be worth what he is asking (going to ask for).
