Gregory has NOT been reinstated and to the best of my knowledge has not even filed. There was a story a few weeks ago that he did file for reinstatement, but Gregory himself said that it was not true. So don't count those sacks (chickens?) just yet.

But he said he will play THIS YEAR. So I gues at some point he is trying to get back into the league THIS YEAR.

The biggest upgrade that any team has made this entire free agency is Robert Quinn leaving this team. That will automatically add at least 2 wins this season. We won’t have to put up with this guy rushing 12 yards up the field and trying to loop back for a sack EVERY. F-ING. PLAY. This guy would leave massive holes for RBs to run through and leave screen passes wide open, because he was trying to rack up sacks and get a big contract. He accomplished his mission and we are a better team with him gone.
Indeed, talk about self serving, it was a Robert Quinn contract highlight reel.
Endorsing just how bad a HC was allowing this to happen.

It's a worse team today than it was a week ago.

And they needed a lot of help a week ago.

I'm glad someone said this. The screens especially were a disaster last year.

They need a RE.
Epenesa doesn't have the explosiveness to be a RE edge guy. Tank is the LE. Gregory is a RE.

Not that it will happen, but McCarthy is a "fit your scheme to your talent" guy and they could move DLaw to RDE.

I think they have another FA signing coming, like Griffin or Clowney.

We have a new HC and ST coach. We signed McCoy and HaHa. How are we worse? That’s just in case you’re NOT being facetious...

Even IF we are worse personnel wise, there’s still time to get better. I’m just gonna relax and watch it unfold.

McCoy and Maliek are about a wash, especially considering that another year makes McCoy worse and Maliek better.

Disagree on this point. McCoy is definitely and upgrade.

Gerald McCoy recorded 42 pressures and 19 run stops in 2019 Those marks would have ranked 2nd and 1st for Dallas at the position last season.

He is light years better playing the run.

Agreed but he has time to file for reinstatement. I think he will be good enough at RDE, but I also think we will see more from Joe Jackson this year.

They had the head coach and ST coach a week ago. "There's still time" means the future. From where they were a week ago to where they are now they are a worse team.

Since they got the cap under control and Jerry not handing out huge wasted contracts like candy.

They seemed to never get better nor worse in FA. However, they have allowed it to draft better, and they improve from the draft.
So far not even a week into FA I think we are slightly in decline. But there are 3 weeks or so left until they prepare for the draft and focus on it 100%.

I say decline because we lost more starters and a few key back ups more than we signed, as usual though. And they did bring back many depth type players.

So will all being equal if they bring in a few more decent FA's. Just the new coaching staff alone is good for 2 or 3 more wins.
No Garrett making stupid decisions and no more lame out dated defense. Who knows with the new scheme on defense, the current players will be better.

Tank played RE last year if memory serves, he was moved around. People are under valuing Epenesa. He isn't a bend guy,he is a power and technique guy. Same with my 2nd round pet cat Alton Robinson. Go YT the tape of Alton Robinson from Syracuse and tell me after you watch it, that you wouldn't love that guy. Watch his senior bowl tape too. He was dominant and reminded me of Jerome Brown or Clyde Simmons. Big physical hoss that is hard to block. He has a couple nice quick moves. He destroyed the olineman who tried to block him at the senior bowl. He's my Pet cat.

don't need explosiveness. Power and just raw girth at the point will do just fine. Too many times our speed edge guys whiffed or ran themselves out of the play. We need big strong fat dudes across the dline. In the new hybrid scheme we will run, we need to make changes.

I’m really hoping some of our young DL take steps forward. We really don’t know what we have in Hill, Jackson, Jelks, and even Armstrong at this point. Hopefully one or more can really contribute. Time will tell.

Honestly, I don't understand why they haven't had him playing RDE this whole time anyway.

I don't know either, but I've read stuff that DLaw is just more comfortable there and thinks his matchups against RTs are easier than the LTs.

Depends on the draft. In reality, our existing cornerback group are pretty woeful. A competent QB will pick them apart now that Jones has departed.
