This “there is time so no need to panic” is bizarre because as time goes on, the options get smaller. It’s not like there is an infinite number of quality DEs. There are only a handful of options now, for example.

Every year. We don't address positions and hear, don't panic; it's only X day of FA! Then we end up not addressing positions and hear the same people who urge calm start talking up the scrubs we do sign. Although McCoy ranks above our usual bargain bin haul.
