The Cowboys got a DT already. That's their quota for the year. Don't expect another. If by chance they change their tune about DT, then consider it a gift from the football gods.

Problem is, not counting Crawford (DE?), I believe we only have 2 signed DTs on our roster: McCoy and T Hill.

Actually my bad because 2018 was split between the giants and lions Even at that in 9 seasons he has 11 sacks or just over 1 per season. OK he might not be just a camp body but I don't see anything that make me jump up and down hoping the Cowboys sign him.
.

Ummm, at some point a few of you have to realize that not all DT’s are there to collect sacks. Nate Newton said it so well on either Hangin’ w/ the Boys or Talkin’ Cowboys - basic gist was those fat boys in the middle are just as if not MORE valuable than pure pass rushers in the middle because the usually destroy the inside running game and, in the passing game, they stop the QB from stepping up in the pocket, leaving them easy pickings for the edge rushers. Nate said those guys were his toughest assignment and that he knew how to let upfield guys run themselves out of plays. Something Dallas’ DLine has been doing for years (see Rams Playoff game)

Defensive tackle Damon "Snacks" Harrison, who played last season with the Detroit Lions, tweeted the infamous eyeball emoji after it was reported he had spoken with Cowboys executive Stephen Jones and head coach Mike McCarthy. Is he headed to Dallas?!

Nice, I had no idea that Jones and MM actually talked to him & him living in Dallas certainly helps our case! Let’s get it done!

and Antoine Woods who is an ERFA, which means he is not free at all. He will either play for the league minimum or he will sign a new deal with the Cowboys. Like any player, he can choose to sit out the season.

It’s interesting that they haven’t broke any other news of this magnitude with their ‘source’; however, if this is indeed true - that’s huge!

thats kind of why i'm taking it with a grain of salt. Feel we would've heard this from one of the bigger names if true

Get Harrison. Cut Crawford. Sign Griffen or Golden.

LDE - Lawrence, Amstrong
3T - McCoy, Hill
1T - Harrison, Woods
RDE - Griffen/Golden, Jelks, Jackson

That's not bad and you can still take a DE or even DT in the draft like Kinlaw at the 3T spot or Weaver at DE.

It just makes too much sense. You can even bring Hyder back as a swing guy if you want.

Fisher is just awful. Of course Dallas would be interested. It’s like saying Jerry is interested in better concession sales at AT&T. He is the king of useless “news” in order to self promote.

You may not like Fisher, but the guy is pretty plugged in at the star and has a great relationship with Jerry Jones, that's from Jerry's own mouth, they're actually friends. Just as he reported this, there's now talk that Snacks has talked to the Cowboys.

Assuming Randy Gregory is reinstated, that would be outstanding depth with some highly skilled players & the strongest DLine we’ve had in decades.

Yea and he’s so massive he would take on double teams constantly, something our DTs didn’t have to deal with. That’s huge for our linebackers

Exactly, lot of folks don't like Crawford but him being in the middle helped Lawerence a lot getting home, they missed him last season. but now if you add Snacks he helps Lawrence and the RDE even more.
