Well..... semi-productive unless going bat crazy and being off for a few games counts? I'm was still shocked he came back at all after that ambulance ordeal. o_O

4 sacks in 11 games a 1-tech lol. Also 346lbs so he can plug the line and keep the backers free. Not the pro-bowler he once was, but definitely still an above average player.

Ranked the 32nd interior lineman out of 119 by PFF
Awesome post

To all those bringing up the Panthers run defense from last year ........

Last year was their first year running a 3-4 defense. Poe and McCoy were both playing out of position.

Plus their LB play was god awful.

Poe and McCoy are definite upgrades.
This. Rivera was beyond desperate and was playing 4-3 personnel in a completely different scheme.

Rather have Snacks Harrison.

Poe 2019 Stats:

11 games
4 sacks
7 tackles for loss
6 QB hits
22 tackles

Snacks 2019 stats:

15 games
2 sacks
3 tackles for loss
2 QB hits
48 tackles

Looks like Poe gets better penetration; however, Snacks is well known for being a beast vs. the run. I personally think in a pass heavy league - it’s more important to have penetration and it’ll help a DB core that isn’t great on paper.

Whoever is RE whether Gregory, Griffen or a draft pick should feast. Poe demands a double, a healthy Lawrence has to be chipped and if McCoy can still give a good year the sky’s the limit.

How did Carolina's run defense rank 29th with McCoy, Poe and Vernon Butler all at DT? Doesn't make sense. They had good players at LB as well....

Almost identical numbers to Maliek Collins in 5 less games, and he’s better in run support!
plus he's fatter.
which is way better.

For sure.

And if anyone knows if Poe can play or not— it would be McCoy, who I am sure we talked to behind the scenes about this potential move.

IMO— this would be a stellar move to not only beef up the interior of the DL against the run and push the pocket— but our LBs will be able to use their speed and athleticism to run sideline to sideline now instead of having to shed so many OL.

Defense is getting better... though we need more help in the secondary
