Look, no matter whom our coach is, they have to deal with Jerry, and you and I both know what a slippery slope that is to navigate, but having said that, both McCoy and Poe, are too talented players that fit the type of scheme that Big Mike wants to employ. These guys will help our linebackers for certain in the since that there is less room to navigate for opposing running backs. The scheme we were running was disjointed due to kris richard and marinelli not being on the same page, plus rod's scheme is outdated and relies on everything being perfect which is wasn't.

I'm not saying you need to jump on the bandwagon, but getting a coach with success in Big Mike and some bigger more talented DT's is a very positive move for this team and our defense. I get they aren't in their prime, but if they were we wouldn't of gotten them on the cheap. Look at Quinn last year, he was much better with us than Miami, you have to be willing to roll the dice on talent when they come at a decent bargain and fit the diagram of the defense you want to run.
I hope so, as a cowboy fan I am tired of the mediocrity we have had to endure for so long....

I don’t like Mike Nolan. He’s a loser

This season is not looking good. Hope Dak plays well enough to get the Pittsburgh QB job in 2021.#realorganization

I go where Dak goes... and I hope Dak can get the hell out of Dallas!

You think Mike Nolan can match SF defensive coordinator?

Cowboys only hope will depend on if MM can duplicate what Andy Reid did in KC. And I’m not about winning the SB, I’m talking about the 51-25 record KC had under Reid before Wonder Boi took a snap.

This defense could be way worse than it was under coach Nod. At the very least coach Nod D kept you in the game. I have my doubts with Nolan. Combined with less than stellar personnel, things might be ugly!
Feel free to follow rod to the raiders

lol dak isnt going to pitt or anywhere else.
your judging MN on his past, and things and people change with the situation.
There is no way to know how good or bad our defense or offense will be, it is a wait and see thing.
Same with poe and McCoy, forget the past and lets see how they do here this season.

WOW!!!

It absolutely cant be understated the change in philosophy with McCarthy at the helm. The first thing we do is go out and get two fat, run stuffing DT's? LOL

After 10 years of ignoring the position under the horrid Garrett.

If ANYONE needed an clue as to how McCarthy has a say in personnel, then you just got it.

Hey, I don’t know for sure but I don’t want a guy with Taco’s and Hill’s attitude etc. on my football team. You actually made my point. You said the only reason we traded Taco was his work ethic and attitude. Who wants a player like that on their team? I completely disagree about Taco coming along. I doubt Taco even makes Miami’s roster this year.
not really Taco started coming around but they decided to let him go but with anew staff with a clean slate and some patience ie not putting him in dog house , he can change quickly..the other staff was fail more so then a taco or hill..the entire attitude of all players can change overnight with the infusion if the new staff and scheme.

Sweet. The depth chart of McCoy, Poe, Woods, Hill and Ross is looking pretty good now.
And who knows how they add to it via the draft or UDFA.

Took a weak point and fixed it short term in one offseason

It doesn't look like a strength to me yet. More like we covered ourselves with a decent rotation for the season.

Set at 1T. Done.

Set up to draft another 3T that comes our way but don't have to get desperate and reach. Exactly the goal in free agency.

Our defensive line will be only as good as our LB's ability to read, run and TACKLE along the line of scrimmage. J Smith better get a new gear this next year and LVE better get healthy.

Well I think McCoy will be an above average 3Tech. Woods and Poe like you said make the 1 tech a good 1-2.
So not a big strength, but at least we won't be going into the draft with question marks and with older guys who are proven in the league
Who the hell knows with Hill but I'll keep a little faith something clicks in him, maybe.

But yea, they at least did a good job with the spot so they don't have to reach(Hill) in the draft for a DT again.

We have some space eaters in the middle now. Should allow our LB's to run full speed without taking on as many blockers.
Yes in theory. I want to see it on the field. Way too many times watching our LB's running backwards away from the LOS on run plays.
