Erik Williams was a 3rd round pick by Johnson, Wooten, and Ackles that Rex Ryan raved about going up against his Morehead St. He was just as dominate for the Central St. Marauders as he would be for the Cowboys earning All American honors at Central St. on their 1st National Championship.

He earned the nickname Big E as he was a protector and enforcer on the OL for the Cowboys team of the 90's going to 3 Super Bowls with Pro Bowl and All Pro honors. He and Tuinei were the meanest an toughest OT tandem in Cowboys History with the rings to prove it.

Congrats on his Hall of Fame induction.

Loved Big E. Remember watching him stifle Reggie White in his prime. Never seen anyone handle Reggie. Unreal stuff.

When you punk Reggie White (whom I have the utmost respect for on and off the field, may he RIP), then you're a bad mamma jamma slamma!

Guy should be in Canton. That was a great period for all time DLinemen. Smith. White. Greene. Whenever Williams went up against those guys he dominated. I mean dominated. White might be one of the best defenders in history and Williams routinely kicked his azz. A great, great, under appreciated OT.

One reason for Erik Williams aggressive mean temperament he brought to the Cowboys OL and used in games was that besides football, he was an amateur boxer growing up in Philly. See the NFL Erik Williams rule of illegal hands to the face (the Reggie White whining rule).

He was not the first Cowboys boxer. Ed Too Tall Jones used his boxing background and 6-9 height to swat passes down which was tracked by the Dallas Cowboys long before JJ "swat" Watt.

At his peak he was as good at his position as any player in NFL history. Unfortunately the car accident limited his peak to 2 seasons.

He was just as dominate (It should be dominant in this context) for the Central St. Marauders as he would be for the Cowboys earning All American honors at Central St. on their 1st National Championship.

Correct usage:
He had the ability to dominate opponents.

Agree.

Should be in HoF and RoH.
