In 3 years he’ll be around the 15th highest paid QB. That’s just how it works in the nfl - next man up gets paid. It’s not a big deal & for those following this whole thing knew exactly what was going to happen. The Cowboys have done a great job building a roster around him and have budgeted for this contract, we just need to get a little lucky in this draft and MM’s new coaching staff can do their thing & hopefully get that elusive 6th ring!

Even the so-called "market" (which is not really a market, just speculation) laughs at the idea of Dak Prescott being the highest paid, or even close to it.

He was hoping to be "friends" by saying all along he would pay him. Absolutely stupid, but he has to hear himself talk. Cost the team tens of millions.

The only saving grace here is Prescotts people are SO greedy they want to cash in yet again in a few years, and they'd better hope their clients best days are AHEAD of him, because he hasn't shown me squat as of yet.

Agreed. It’s a byproduct of the CBA everyone agreed to. Each deal is a precedent for the next one. The people that root the hardest to see someone “overpaid” is the next one in line due to be paid. Rinse, recycle, repeat.
