Everything I have said about Dak has been correct. He's not good enough to elevate our team, was I correct on that? Did we go 8-8 last year? Did he have a great offense? Thanks for playing.

And I'm not going to support giving an average to above average QB (on his best day) a mega deal when we have no idea when the next NFL season will be.

Nope you were dead wrong about that. Cowboys record under Dak is 40-24. Dak threw for almost 5000 yards and 33 total TD's last year. Had two 1000 yard receivers. He clearly elevated them.

13-3 as a rookie. Won 11 games in a row and rookie of the year.

He also led the NFL in last drive comeback wins the first 3 years.

Any other silly comments you got wrong? Anything else you THINK you got right?

He's probably confused because initially this teams wins wasn't because of Dak. But because he went 8-8 last year he wants to credit that to Dak lol. His mind is all scrambled lol. That's what happens when you keep using these played out arguments lol.

Your emotional obsession with Dak has gotten you so blind that you're unable to reason realistically at this point. Dak made much more than that last year but I guess that doesn't count with you and your adopted hero. I don't hate Dak at all. I just think he's being led by an agent and an owner who has misled him into thinking he's more than he is.

You're famous for making comments that put you in a corner to protect your almighty and imaginary expert knowledge. Get real and you'll be much happier in the long run.

At some point, Dak will be forced to prove he's worth what a overly-emotional owner and agent has seen fit to see him as realistically elite. Good luck with that. He has yet to prove it. If he is given what he wants, here's hoping he'll do so. Too much depends on it.

Didn't say last year. Said average the first 4 years. LOL...….as if making 2 million last year changes the argument. LOL

I have been dead on about Dak since day one and turds like you have been proven dead wrong. Not my problem if that chaps you. LOL

Dak has already proven his worth. Top 10 QB's make big money. Is it the fault of the rest of us you don't understand how salaries for QB's work?

What will you do when he signs long term? Claim that you were right again? Throw a tantrum? :muttley:

Dak Prescott since entering the league

13-3 his rookie year (great offensive line)
9-7 (one game with benched Eagles players) SUCKED when he lost Zeke and Smith and lost a do or die game against the Seahawks
10-6 we had to give away our first round pick for Cooper for him to play at an acceptable level (still got shut out against the Colts)
8-8 with a great offense and lost a do or die game against the banged up Eagles

Sucked against the Saints, sucked against the Eagles, sucked against the Patriots, sucked against the Jets, sucked against the Bills, sucked against the Bears - "HURR DURR HE GOT LOT OF YARDS DOE"

He didn't elevate crap. You lose. Delete your account.

Yep, just like last year sacks were the QB's fault because we had 56 of them. This year with only a measley 23, its back to a job well done by the Oline.

Dak needed great performances around him to succeed. That's not him elevating, that's players around him doing so. "lol lol lol".

If he signs long term, as a Cowboys fan, I'll simply be hoping he lives up to what he earns. That doesn't seem too much to ask. How will you feel if he doesn't . . . it works both ways. I'm for more concerned with the good of the team than one individual. That's what Dak seemingly can't accept. He'll get plenty; there's really no need to get greedy about it.

So when the team goes great its because of something other than Dak. But when they don't, its because of Dak?

The logic of a depressed turd. LOL

And who was leading that GREAT offense last year? Is that the guy that came ONE yard away from breaking the Cowboys all time passing record? But hey, he cant elevate eh? :lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Please don't delete your account as I will enjoy riding you Dak trolls for the next 4 to 5 years minimum when you get it all wrong again and he signs.

They chose not to resign Byron/Quinn/Collins because they had to sign Cooper and Dak....hence salary cap restrictions.

As for Lawrence, they should have applied the non-exclusive tag last year and traded him for draft picks just like they should have traded Zeke and Dak too.
They could have signed all of them. Cooper's cap hit went DOWN from last year.

OK, trade all your good players. Great strategy.

Look at the replies to the tweet. Rival fans are giddy about this. It's insane we've gotten to this point.

not sure why, dont give in Jones'! ?

he not even close to being elite or have a right to be highest paid anything.. ugh..monumental mistake IMO let his stew over the tag a while play or hold out.. Im at that point.. 33/105 was the last dal id put up if I were JJ.. whats the rush?its gotten this far. let it ride le Dak play out the tag and PROVE he can be consistent and win bigger games..

our beloved Dallas Cowboys!:(
Remember when you were boasting about how Dak WILL NOT be paid?

Dak’s about to slap you right in your mouth. Feels good, doesn’t it?

No one can live up to 35 million. All these guys are over paid. I would love to see him get 25 million but that isn't realistic. I would love to see him take a huge paycut like Brady, but again, not realistic for a guy on his first big contract.

What is best for the Cowboys is to sign Dak. Its just the way these new contracts work. Is it Dak's fault that guys like you don't understand that?

But again...……….you didn't like Dak at 500k per year or 2 million per year. So this is just another thing for you to complain about in your TRAIL OF TEARS.

You specifically said he elevated the team. Yet, when he lost Smith and Zeke, he SUCKED. He was literally the worst QB for a 3 week stretch and only played slightly better after that. DAK said, IN HIS OWN WORDS, "I don't need a #1 WR" - Guess what happened? HE SUCKED and we had to give up a first round pick...for a #1 WR. Now what happened when that #1 WR turned out to be a ghost in his second year? Dak again SUCKED against any quality opponent and we missed playoffs. Nice garbage time stats though against the Bills and Bears.

The ONLY way fans or most people will be ok with this is IF he takes us to the SB and nothing less!

Does anyone on this site, whether they’re a Dak fan or not, truly think he should be the highest paid player in the league? If so, why?

I mean let’s be honest here. He isn’t worth that amount of money. Period.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they gave it to him, though.

Oh really? Because I saw what Dak was like prior to Cooper, Gallup and Cobb getting here. And I saw what Cobb was like prior to getting here. TRASH. I saw what Cooper was like prior to getting here. TRASH. Gallup was in college so its unfair say he was trash but he was a 3rd round pick. But everyone elevating but Dak even though Dak's team had more drops than anyone. Elevation!!!!!!! LOL

The problem is not Dak, its that you don't understand how new contracts work.

Is cooper elite? Nope, but he got paid like a top 5 receiver.

Either way, its something you better get used to.

What is the rush? The rush is so we don't have to pay 40 million. Again you show a severe lack of understanding of new salaries.

Your advice a year ago was to wait. How did that turn out? Now we are paying more. If you are worried about money, then you should be wanting to sign as soon as possible. But AGAIN, you don't get it obviously.

Utterly ridiculous. Dak hasn't earned the right to be the NFL's highest paid player - not by a long shot.

And I'm a Dak fan...

Don't worry, he wont be for long. The next halfway decent QB up for an extension will eclipse it.
