I didn't say just garbage time stat. I said garbage time stats OR they came against bad teams. He had one good performance last year - that was against the Vikings. Eagles were not a good team, they were pretty bad with a QB that elevated his team in the final 3 games.

Dak had a rating in the 70s against both the Bills and Bears until the final couple drives where he padded his numbers. Here are his stats against quality teams (I'll throw in Eagles so you don't cry about that)

New Orleans Saints - 73.2 rating, 0 TDs, 1 INT
Green Bay Packers - 2 TDs, 3 INTs, 83.8
Philadelphia Eagles - 100.5 1 TD, 1 INT
Minnesota Vikings - 101.4 3 TDs, 1 INT (his best game of the year)
New England Patriots - 64.2, 0 TDs, 1 INT
Buffalo Bills - 91.8 rating (this is the game his rating was garbage until he padded at the end and followed that up against the Bears)
Do or die game against the Eagles - 74.5 0 TDs and 0 INTs

He freakin' sucked against the majority of the good teams he faced last year. He was also pretty "meh" against the Jets and sucked against the Bears. It was not a good season for Dak, but everyone can keep pumping up his TD and passing yard totals.

Ohhhhh....so you want to do that? What did Aaron Rodgers do when he played a good defense?

216 Yards adn 0 touchdowns and a pick 1in one meeting and the other he had 209 yards and 2 touchdowns and a fumble.

How about what Aaron Rodgers did against another good defense like the Bears?

203 Yards 1 touchdown with a 48% compeltion percentage.....well how about the Chargers?161 Yards of PASSING!!!!!

You can do this crap with most quarterbacks......quarterbacks struggled against great defenses.....wow....how foreign is that.

Lol!!! That dude makes me laugh! Can't tell if he's serious or just acting the fool.
He's both lol.
Last year? His first three years don't matter? He had a rookie OC and idiot HC. I'll take him over anything else out there. You'll root for him cause you're a fan!!!! If you don't, then you're not a fan. Stop *****ing and accept the fact that he's YOUR QB! Lol!!!!!!
Ranch his 1st 3 years don't matter because back then his stats were because of his TEAM. Last year.....his winning percentage is about himself.

How can you say his best game was against the Vikings when he posted a perfect passer rating(158.3) against the Giants. Not even Troy Aikman ever did that?

Go back, I have already talked about his previous years. Before the 2018 season, Dak said he didn't need a #1 WR - so because of his lame confidence, he sucked at the beginning of the 2018 season and we had to trade away our #1 so he could play like an actual starting QB. In 2017? Yeah, another year he sucked. His rookie year is ancient history at this point.

And don't tell me how to be a fan. There is no rule that I have to like every player we have, I want this team to improve and giving a mediocre starting QB MVP-like money is not helping it. So come back with a better argument before I embarrass you again.

Who is up next? @Corso?

Read my post a couple times before responding, because you are obviously struggling.

We are discussing his play against quality teams, not trash fire teams. Yeah, he also had a decent game against the Dolphins. Is that what we are basing our contract on?

stop hating your QB.

I am realistic about what he is: he is a QB on the level of Carr and Cousins. I "hate" the fact that he will be paid like he is a Wilson or Mahomes when he sure as heck hasn't played like them or achieved what they have.

that doesn’t even matter. Dallas has put themselves in a position where he’s more valuable to them than even 40m$ a year. It’s not a matter of if he’s worth it, it’s a matter of them not being able to afford NOT to pay him that.

You’re not drafting a guy this year to go on a roster to win now, nor next year if you keep Dak franchised, no disciple qb already waiting in the wings, you passed on the best FA QB market in history.

Dak will get his money because he has to

Aaron Rodgers isn't a great QB anymore, he's in the twilight of his career. He's borderline game manager at this point. he hasn't been a great QB since 2016. You're going off name alone, in Rodgers prime, he was a Super Bowl winner and an 2x MVP.

This is STUPID and plain IDIOTIC.

Cowbos are paying DAK is if he were a super star... THIS are the reaons we will NEVER be elite ever again.
He is a Super Star but that comes with being a Cowboys QB just isn't an Elite QB

Nobody "has to be" paid. That's a choice.

to maintain contendership I would say yes you have to pay him, whether it be a franchise or long term deal. Cam Newton isn’t winning you the NFC East in 2020, and Jerry doesn’t tank

You don't need a $100 million QB to get to 8-8 and 9-7. You pay a QB that money because they either play at a top 3 level or brought you a championship.

Again, nobody HAS to be paid - that's a choice and one owners consistently make over and over while hurting their teams. It's more excusable when you have a Wilson or Mahomes.

Why must you talk down to people to make a point? Are you truly that miserable of a human being? Never mind, I forgot who I was talking to.

No one keeps up with all the blathering you do so don't ever hold it against anyone for not knowing what you have said in previous posts. It's your own fault if your post doesn't hold up to scrutiny on their own merit. Apparently contrary to your judgment, every game counts because the man is getting paid.

i get that.
but are the Commanders better since they got rid of cousins?
doesnt look like it.
in my opinion...we got a good young QB we can win with.
not even 30...2nd most wins over his 4yrs...2div titles...2 trips to the playoffs including a win over rus and seattle.
pretty damn good so far for a guy picked in the 4th rd and lets remember he was saddled with garrett.
with mccarthy...and 4yrs under his belt...i think it only gets better.
we got a good'n.....time to pay him.
every day week month we dont.
it only gets higher.

Dak can get 10-6 or better on a 100m$ deal. He doesn’t have to be a top 10 QB to pull that off
