You ignore what you want to so it fits your narrative. You are in denial of what the stats are telling you because you just don't want to admit the truth. The team regressed, Dak did not. He is who the stats say he is. 40 wins in 4 seasons is a real stat. The 4th highest career passer rating among active QBs is a real stat. Almost 5000 passing yards in a season you claim he regressed is a real stat. A perfect passer rating in a game is not easy. Only 5 were posted in 2019 yet Dak had one. Do not tell me "what we all know" when you are ignoring stats because they are inconveniently proving you wrong. Don't tell me what to focus on and what to ignore. That's your trick and it does not work. Dak well deserves to get top QB pay and it will happen.

The only way I’d trade Dak is if we are swapping him during draft day for one of the top QBs in this draft. You can’t give up your starting QB without definitively getting another you think can play in return. If you just trade him for a high draft pick that isn’t top 3, you could still lose out on drafting a replacement, which is completely unacceptable.
Then, on the other end of it, unless some team is in love with Dak, no one likely wants to immediately dole out the leagues biggest contract.

I haven’t checked but I’m sure Dak stats, except W-L against winning teams, are better than most QBs. Sorry, but I need more Ws especially against good teams. Fans are idiots to think coaches don’t see Dak’s slow mechanics and inaccurate passing under pressure. I’m not sure what you Dak homies are seeing but I’m sure you’ll hit me with stats.

Why do you think Justin Herbert is good? And why do you think Dak is overrated? He's easily better than his contemporaries Goff, Wentz, mariota and cousins.

Dak is going to be the Cowboys quarterback for a very long time. But go ahead and continue day dreaming.

If you need more wins against good teams then fix the defense, ST and coaching. Stop climbing up the wrong tree by blaming Dak and the offense for that failure.

How on earth did you come to that conclusion?

I will give you Mariota, I've never rated the guy I rate Prescott over him although he did still beat Prescott in Dallas and Prescott blew that game with poor play to kill them off early doors.

Over the last two seasons...

Cousins has thrown 56 touchdowns 16 interceptions with an average QBR of 103.6.

Carson Wentz has thrown 48 touchdowns and 14 interceptions with an average QBR of 97.7.

Dak Prescott has thrown 52 touchdowns and 19 interceptions with an average QBR of 98.3.

Jared Goff has thrown 54 touchdowns and 28 interceptions with an average QBR of 93.8.

Wentz has a ring and Goff has been to a Superbowl.

Arguably Prescott had the most friendly offensive conditions during that time (and the prior two years). Vikings O-Line only improved last season, Wentz has largely been throwing the ball to deck chairs, especially last season and Goff suffered last season with his O-Line being considerably worse, it was a mess last season after losing pieces to pay Goff and Gurley plus decimated by injuries.

I personally consider Wentz the best quarterback out of the lot. The guy has carried his team in numerous games and played a central role in the Eagles achieving the #1 seed en route to winning the Superbowl. Yes people will claim he's never on the field even though he just played in all 16 regular season games.

But whatever way you chop it up, Prescott is clearly not "easily better" than the aforementioned contemporaries - and when you throw in the eye test, it's even clearer.

Prescott is pretty much on par with the likes of Cousins and Jimmy G. I don't understand why people get so worked up about that! They are all good quarterbacks.
