That’s another Woody lie. Post stats from both during the first 4 seasons. Not much difference there. Except for Romo’s interceptions.
And Dak's lack of touchdowns...

You can't just post stats years apart and compare them. Unless you think Andy Dalton is better than Roger Staubach since he has a higher career passer rating.

NO he wasn't. Also, the best ability is availability.

Romo asking for an open competition in the middle of a successful run like that, just shows how selfish and inconsiderate of the team he was. Glad that loser is gone.
How is asking for an open competition selfish? This is one of the dumbest implications of selfishness I've ever heard.

The result of open competitions is to put the player on the field who gives the team the best chance to win. That's what is unselfish: putting team needs above the the individual.

If Romo got hurt again, the job would go to Dak again. So availability isn't even an issue, unless it gives you a lesser chance to win, which would mean Romo is the better QB.

Post a link where Romo said he asked for an open competition and was declined.

I meant you can't compare them directly. When you look at them in context, Romo's are clearly better.

When Staubach retired, he was #1 all-time in passer rating. Now he's #48. Makes your head hurt, don't it troll?

I can't post a link since the reply that I made with one was removed because it wasn't allowed.

But it's common knowledge.

Just do a Google search with the following search terms, "Romo asks for open competition against Dak", and articles appear.

Did Romo ever say that? Or is this just assumed by bootleg sportswriters?

Dude, do you know how legitimate journalism works? They don't just go making up stuff. If there are several articles that say it and have remained for several years after the fact without a denial or correction then that is what happened.

His fans still can't let it go lol.

And I'm not even sure if Romo really feels this way or if its just lip service. Based on reports he had a right to be upset. But like he said......you don't mess with that run. That run looked to be magical. And it wasn't of course. I still think things worked out great for Romo. If he doesn't retire when he did who's to say that opportunity is still there? What if Jay Cutler gets his position? Probably would've been good on any network but where he's at now....everything happens for a reason.
The quality of the offense has receded dramatically since.

I miss real NFL quarterbacking.

Translation: "I better back down now, maybe go in another direction and try to deflect... because Dak's stats ain't gonna work out for me after all."

Still want to pump up Dak's stats, troll?
