Fair enough -- averaged 90% over a 3 year period, sure. But "prior 3 years, he had hit 90%" read like he made 90% of his FGs 3 seasons in a row.

He no doubt had a strong run from 2016-18. Let's hope he can replicate that, because he's not going anywhere with that guaranteed salary.

You are correct, sir. My bad about phrasing it that way... I will take 87, 95 or 86! But more than that, he is a weapon on kickoffs/field position and legitimately puts us in scoring position every time we cross midfield

The same one who advocated for Forbath while you cheerleaders were fine with Maher?

Btw, when a once great team goes through over two decades of futility, any rational fan should become a malcontent. Otherwise their opinion isn't worth reading. They live in a fantasy world. Like South Park, for instance.
Love me some Cartman.

Didn’t you get enough last year of long FG’s missed and short fields for the other team to score 7 points, not 3.

What the heck was wrong with Forbath? He was 100% on FG’s last year and Zuerlien was less than 75%?

Please not another big strong leg that can’t kick straight!!

Maher was just a leg. Greg has a really good history to go along with the cannon. I look at it this way, he had to have a down year to even be available. Hoping it’s our gain, and if not, Kai is still in the fold

forbath was good in limited opportunity last year but has not been great his career, this is an upgrade, and when games are on the line, I’d prefer the better kicker
From the comments posted here, Forbath is top ten in made FG in his career.

This was the story originally referenced in the OP, saying nothing about a guarantee...

I see just now that Archer is reporting a $3.5 mil guarantee.

No reason to doubt Archer's correct, and yes, that does flip that script. I suppose they signed Forbath then as a fallback if they couldn't get a deal done with Zuerlein.

Did you think a $7.5M, three year deal would have $0 guaranteed?

Bad year last year and had some injuries the past 3 years. Hopefully he gets back to his 2016 self.

Can't believe he's already 32 years old.

Not much of a competition when the coach brought his guy over. Anyone who believes Forbath has a shot at being the kicker next year, I have a bridge to sell you.

LA has no kicker. Just trade Forbath for a 7th round pick and get something out of this.

Was there any incoming kickers in the upcoming draft that looks good? I would have rather drafted a K instead of overspend on a K that is not as accurate as the K on the rooster.
