Sure would be nice if even one of these three could turn into a contributor.

Seemed that they each needed to add strength, and should each be in the midst of their first full NFL offseason.

Hyatt was Clemsons starting LT, which has to mean something. Would like to see him win the swing OT job, and Jelks be able to rush with some effectiveness on nickel downs.

Anyone hear anything on any of these guys?

I haven't heard anything but hopefully they have been padlocked into the weight room this whole time.

Also add WR JonVea Johnson and CB Chris Westry to the list of futures guys to watch out for in training camp. Johnson showed high end speed but was too raw and to dropsy to win a roster spot so they stashed him on IR.

All facilities are locked down due to the coronavirus so I don't expect we'll be hearing much from any of our pet cats. I always look forward to hearing something about these guys, who's working in the weight room, whose body has changed, who's focused on film work. This year it's going to be harder for those athletes looking to make that second-year push. Hopefully we can get a leg up on this virus and things can return to normal for everyone.

We have several young WRs that need to step up, namely Brown, Smith and Bryant. Hear anything?

Contributing would be making the final roster and providing solid depth because there aren’t any spots on the field this year for any of them. It would be nice to see a bunch of the young guys take huge steps forward with real coaching this season. We are going to need a bunch of cheap young players come 2021.

With Bryant there is a video of him in a Walmart parking lot and...

Actually with that Bryant he seems like a guy that only plays Special Teams, when you see them signing backups like Canaday and Bell who are great ST guys but also backup a position, I don't see guys like Bryant being on the roster.

Devin Smith is the guy I like, he played well in the 2nd and 3rd games of the season and then was on the bench for the rest of the year. No clue why that happened but his stats in those two games projected out to 800 yards receiving over 16 games. Plus he is a deep threat, which we need and which plays well in Moore's scheme.

They said Noah Brown was healthy enough to come off the IR last year but didn't, I don't really read anything into that though. But he has great physical skills and at this moment is only 24 years old - the same age Calvin Ridley was when he was a first round draft pick two years ago.

TC will be interesting for sure. If the lockdown continues too long they may not have a chance to show their improvement.

I was just reading some stuff on Hyatt yesterday. Definitely seems like a steal. All reports were that he's a guy who can play, but needed to beef up. Ok, he's on an NFL program now. His strength should improve. Probably never a mauler, but you don't have to be at T. I think there was a lot of praise for his feet. He may not pan out at all, or may turn into something. For the cost, that's a steal.

As for Knight, wasn't a problem last year that I recall, and certainly another guy who should get stronger in an NFL program.

Oline is definitely where players physically grow into their position as they get older and stronger. Even Martin, though an All Pro as a rookie, had some trouble with NFL power. Now, not quite so much, though Snacks always seemed like a tough matchup.

Speaking of the oline growing into their bodies, Connor Williams hasn't even hit 23 yet. He's another guy who should still be growing into it.

Hyatt 23
Knight 22 - Just days from 23.

Sure would be nice to have Knight and Hyatt as our two T backups. I think Knight plays some G too.
McGovern at C 22, Wiliams at LG 22 as starters.

A whole lotta cheap youth for the oline. Me likey.

I thought Smith *did* step up last year. He was clearly the best of the young guys. Might have been a better WR than Austin. But they sat him.

Smith and Wilson are 3 and 4. Likely they get bumped down by a cheap vet free agent and a draft pick.

Guys after them are special teams roster filler, IMO.

Bleh. Bryant got arrested for DUI.

I'm with you on Smith. Dak's QB rating when targeting Smith was 137. I know that's limited target, but still.

Brown is a teeny tiny blocking TE on the last year of his contract who has done nothing as a WR. If he's back we've failed.

Hyatt lacked strength, speed to power rush worked every time, plus he was slow footed...maybe Philbin can work magic. Knight was the best of the bunch. If Jon'Vea could catch he'd be on the 53, so we'll see if he improved.

Yeah Hyatt looked slow and overmatched vs preseason talent, I don’t know if he’s quite an NFL caliber T.

Really high on Jelks though and Knight looked solid last year
That's kind of what I was getting at.

He played LT for Clemson. A great team in a great conference. There has to be something there.

I really liked what I saw from Knight last year. Another offseason in the weight room (if that ever happens this year) is only going to help him.

Great team, possibly. Great conference not so much. A collection of cupcakes is more like it but I do hope he pans out.

Agree on Hyatt... was super high on him and watched him get beat like a drum by ANYONE lined up across from him

Unless he not only added strength to fight off the jntial bull rush AND added better foot speed/hand technique he won’t be here
