Can we get a first rounder if we trade Dak?

Going 1-6 against quality teams isn't going to get you to the playoffs. There are good young QB's coming into the NFL every single year. To pay (overpay) him what he's asking is detrimental to having a good overall team. We could use a portion of that money to have a superior defense which makes a difference every time they're on the field. I'd rather have a so-so QB and win a SB than have a glorified, overpaid stat-monger and finish 8-8.

The point is he has boxed the team into a situation of grossly over paying a mediocre QB while the team has major needs on defense . If the team caves in , the cowboys will keep meandering . A trade for a 1st rounder or 2 may be a long shot but i tends to think would be a much better option long term .
25 years is sufficient enough to be considered long term. I’m ready to start winning some rings.

this is like saying we have the best looking car of 2020, when cars that came out this year were all ugly lol
Like I said. You don’t get it. And obviously you never will. Because in your statement you just said any quarterback coming out this year sucks. LMAO

You’re welcome to your opinion. But you’ll be proven wrong
Dak is not worth the money he is asking and he was not a difference maker in any game . He is not the sort of QB that can win against playoff caliber teams . He was 1-6 against them . So don’t hold too much hope for him . I hope Jerry doesn’t cave and pay him what he is asking .

Well Dak won't be drafted in 2020. So next time be precise...because @Whirlwin just tried to develop the conversation and revealed fallacy in your comment.

We all know 2016 QB draft class is at worst going into 2020 season is a Good Class.

Chad Martin Hutchinson was great person too
Yeah...but Chad came from the same personality tribe as Jeff George, Akili Smith and Joe Flacco

Only difference Chad Hutchinson could not start or play QB in NFL

when someone says Dak is the best in the draft class I didn't think I needed to explain how an ugly car is nicer to look at than the ugliest cars

Oh I see but either way your premise is false because like I clearly stated Dak is the best QB in the 2016 draft class that was a Good QB draft class.

I as much as the next Cowboy fan like to beat up Goff and Wentz but they are Good QBs (pssst keep this between fellow Cowboy brothers )

exactly right. This team FO needs to wake up and realize the limitations of a QB like dak and not mortgage the future of the team on him . It is a vicious cycle of mediocrity that has plagued this team.

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder. Try to look deeper or are you too shallow

exactly right. It is a crucial bet jerry is making on a player we have seen meltdown against decent teams . At some point the results have to count and not just signing the super stars for revenue and selling jerseys . Look at Beliceck , he would not even have considred paying dak more than 22mil , probably would have traded him after last season for any suckers out there,

I'm tired of the cowboys giving so much importance to a moron like Dak, transferring him, and negotiating a first round and maybe a second one too, the cowboys haven't selected a QB in the first round since Aikman, and that was in 1989, that It was 31 years ago, that's pathetic. Dak is not the solution to this team nor is he the most important player, as to beg him so much, he has never won teams with a winning record, it will be a great failure and mistake to give him the money he wants, the same mistake they made with Romo. just pathetic.

yes and am afraid jerry will cave in again and give him a long term deal. it is crazy how the cowboys have miscalculated Dak's deficiencies.

Let’s not give up hope just yet. Maybe Our insane GM will finally do something right. We all know he’s past overdue.
