lol what sold Cobb on Houston is they overpaid him - it has nothing to do with Watson.

I am not sure this is true. From reading all his comments he over complimented Watson on being a winner and great QB. He also mentioned how great of a OC Moore was. Then he goes on to compliment the Houston organization and that a chance to win the SB was another thing that drew him to Houston.

He never said anything about DAk. So for me, reading between the lines he wasn't so thrilled with Dak and wasn't so thrilled with the Cowboys chances of going all the way.

But that is stretching it possibly. HE did get a 3 year deal at 9 million per year. No way the Cowboys were offering that.

The hilarious part is that he isn't going to like playing with Watson. Watson is the type of QB that definitely holds the ball way to long and simply runs around after the play breaks down and makes some kind of play. Difficult to have a set route system in place with Watson with any kind of consistency.

Watson is more of a sandlot type QB. A very good one, but not your conventional type QB.

Yep. Exactly.

If you look at Cobbs 840 yards receiving number, that means that with Cobb, Dak was 160 yards away from having 3,1000 yard receivers in one season?

Has that ever been done before? That sounds like an incredible feat to me. I recall one 60 yard bomb to Cobb that got called back by penalty. That's almost half the yards right there.

Cobb would've had it if he wouldn't had a few of those drops. I don't know what he ended the season at but take away that one bomb which I remember being called back for some BS and those drops? Dak would've had his 5k yards and he would've gave Cobb 1k...but people would've still said it wasn't enough lol.

What a surprise.

Half of Cowboy Nation does not like him either.

Do you think Jerrah knows this?

Half of the fanbase just does not want Dak?

That's not just a few..

Dak is going to be under horrendous pressure to shoot the moon this season with this Tag.

He has not done it without it.

With it weighing him down?

Guess what happens.

It was the same way with Romo, Danny White, ect….ect…..

Unless you win big here all the time, the relatively clueless, homer fanbase of the Cowboys stumbles with the football basics.

The more naïve, uneducated fans always blame success or lack thereof on the QB. And they typically judge based on short term or recent results as opposed to looking at the big picture or the facts.

And what the other half of the fan base cant answer is...………….Who are you going to get that is better than Dak? When the trolls can answer that question without tearing down the franchise for the next 4 years, then let me know and I am in.

Get me Mahomes or Burrows and I am in.

But the fact of the matter was the all 3 of Romo, Danny White, and Dak are all quality QB's that are plenty good enough to take you all the way.

Up to this point, all 3 of these guys didn't have the team around them to have the success of either Staubach or Aikman.

However, I really like the team thus far that MM is putting together in Dallas at the moment. Frederick retiring, however, was a monster blow.

A year ago when he said he was excited to play with Dak was out thought that he must have had a problem with Rodgers?a problem with Rogers? I just don’t get the logic that expressing excitement about His new QB equates to expressing disappointment with the previous one.

Exactly...…………….would have been over 5000 yards passing, breaks the Cowboys all time passing record, has 3, 1000 yard receivers in one season, lead the #1 offense in the NFL, would have been the #1 passer in the NFL with over 33 total TD's and offense averaged over 27 points per game despite a defense that was at the bottom end in turnovers and scoring.

And these same turds would look at the 8-8 season and claim that Dak was the #1 reason we had bad season. :lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao::lmao:

this is clownery and we should stop elevating it.
everyone with a brain knows cobb signed with houston because they paid him a metric boat load worth of cash and nothing more.

asked an obvious question he gave the PC answer.

he got wildly overpaid at a rate above what he made in his actual prime.
the texans gave cobb MORE than what beasley got to go to buffalo.

Receiver Randall Cobb could have gone back to the Cowboys. He chose to leave for Houston despite Dallas hiring his former head coach in Green Bay. When the Cowboys hired Mike McCarthy, everyone assumed Cobb would return for a second season. "One of the special things about Dallas [was] they gave me that opportunity," Cobb [more]

$18 million guaranteed.

He made less than $3 million with the Cowboys.

Besides, read the article and not just the headline. The primary reason he gave was Houston having been to the playoffs a lot in recent years. The part obout Watson being a winner was an added comment, and didn’t suggest he chose Houston because he preferred Watson over Dak.

Here was what he said ...”The reason I picked the Texans is, obviously, I think that you look at what they’ve been able to do over the past few years,” Cobb said. “[They] went to the playoffs four of the past five times.

He merely expressed excitement about playing with Watson just as he expressed excitement about playing with Dak a year ago. It’s just him saying the right things. Not everything is a soap opera.

I, of course, read the article before posting in the first place. For anyone who didn’t, he didn’t say anything at all to offset the obvious QB implication.

It’s true, of course, that he went there for the money. As he should have. But that’s not really the point. The QB comment wasn’t “PC.” It was pretty pointed. Maybe it was inadvertent. It probably was. But, still.

Doesn’t mean a damned thing.
Since you are too lazy to read what Cobb said, I’ll explain it to you. Cobb’s comment was that Watson was a winner in high school and college. You asked what Watson has won, and the answer is that he has won exactly what Cobb said he won, so really it’s your comment that doesn’t mean anything because It was made without even understanding what you were questioning,
