If that was allowed my Pitbull could play defense and he would be the greatest player ever. He is obsessed with getting the ball and would run through a brick wall to get it. He would not be able to wait for the snap without some assistance...
My old pitty was the same. She'd pop tennis balls in no time flat.

Im fully aware of his background, that doesn’t change the FACT that when he is making plays for your team you are screening like a cheerleader at a perp rally. That’s a fact, in the moment you could careless about Vegas.

So don’t mention it now in the off-season.

No, I pondered not even watching the games when he was signed with Dallas.
And, since you're being an asshat, the phrase is "couldn't care less".

While we're at it, what the hell is a "perp rally"? And "screening"?
My goodness, Dez's pet monkey can spell better than you.

Are there other incidents?

He knocked over an elderly handicapped security guard to get on the field
after a NE SB win to be with his brother.

Really though, isn't the Vegas incident enough?
He never apologized. Goodell came to his defense believing
Bennett's lies. He had the audacity to say Bennett was one of the very
best the NFL had in terms of humanitarian blah, blah, blah.
Goodell never retracted his statement when the police cam video came out.

I'd say perpetuating hate, lying about what happened, calling the LVPD
that word that begins with R... is enough to not cheer for a player.
I'm going to draw the line there, personally.

What Bennett did could've caused a riot.

And yet when he got a sack or made a big play, you cheered like a high school cheerleader, now go back to the corner until I tell you to come out.

I completely agree but that POS was one of the few who actually seemed to give a damn last year as we were falling apart with the playoffs on the line. I wasn't a fan of the trade but found that to be rather ironic.

That said his neutral zone infractions were horrible.

Another loud mouth Bennett brother that pops off when things aren't going well.

Also left his puppy at a boarding shelter, never went back and got him and stiffed the shelter on the bill until they were forced to take legal action. Not exactly a RKG.

Defensive end Michael Bennett said earlier this month that he wasn’t sure if he wanted to play another NFL season, but it appears he’s come to a decision.

Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News reports that Bennett would like to play. If he does, it will mark 12 years in the league for a player who entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2009.
This is how the Michael Bennet story played out in 2019
  • Week 9 - Bennet signed! Cowboys finally got someone in here who knows how to lead. That chump D-Law is getting paid and doing nothing. Bennet didn’t stay in the locker room during the national anthem, as he had done with other teams, but he did cover his jersey with a towel. A man of conviction and purpose! Don’t pay attention to all the reports of him being a turd in human form
  • Week 11 - Lions - Bennett gives a fiery pre-game speech in the pre-game huddle. Fans see the next coming of Mike Singletary. Bennett has two sacks! This guy is an absolute leader of men and will be a force!
  • Week 13 - Bills - After a terrible loss, Bennett goes off in the locker room. Fans declare Bennett the bargain of the year, talk about signing him next season and continue to complain about Lawrence - Benett has 2 solo tackles and helped in 3 more
  • Week 14-17 - Cowboys limo through the last four games of the season. Bennett has 1 sack and 9 tackles. Fans - Crickets
  • Off-Season - Cowboys haven’t even been rumored to be interested in signing him.
Bottom line, he talked a good game last year and other than a couple of games where he was good, he was “just a guy”.

He plays at a position of need, apparently likes it here and if he will *seriously* reduce his salary expectations there could be a fit. I would suggest that everyone temper their expectations though.

I saw him in the Dallas area a few weeks ago. I thought he would be long gone after the season.
Didn't his wife take a lawyer job somewhere in Dallas? I might be confused on who's wife it was.

He's a POS as a human

He has done some dumb things no doubt, but why not try looking up what else he has done (and no I am not defending this occasional stupidity - just pointing out that POS humans don't do the below...

Don't really care if we resign him, just pointing out that all you ever hear about is the bad, rarely the good (and that goes for just about everyone).

Yeah. Too bad that loud mouth that criticized his team for playing horrible wasn't some other team leader....

https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...arks-fiery-postseason-locker-room/4329887002/

“Credit the leaders,” Prescott said. “Credit Michael Bennett, those guys that started that. It was a great conversation, a lot of great words passed. But it’s just all about us executing and just getting the job done. It starts throughout the week with us doing things better.”

Again I am not defending him, but man even the players on this team who didn't bother speaking up themselves (as they should have) were thankful for his "pop off".

Some of these NFL players need to get a life. Hey Bennett? I could care less what you want! You're least of my worries. All you want is to cash a check and complain about how unfair your life is.

I'd love to have Bennett back. At times last year, he and Quinn were the only two players on the front 7 that looked like they were trying.
