I don't know.

One of these days the naysayers on Dez might wake up..

Find out about mid-season our TEs and new slot receiver are not taking up enough slack.

Dez steps up and terrorizes the other team and Dak goes to the Pro Bowl.

Hmmmm....

I think I sign Dez and stash him on the roster for a rainy day.

Just forget he is there and just go on doing whatever.

That just MAKES TOO MUCH SENSE to be considered.

Dez is incapable of playing TE or the slot.

He can’t even play the X or Z receiver positions. I posted a long message awhile back about Dez being a player without a position.

People who think he can play TE or slot just don’t understand what it takes to be successful in those spots and the Other two spots he’s just too slow and has no explosion let, at all, to get off the line or run past a CB who is moving also

read this - highly recommended for anyone who wants to get a good understanding of the receiver position

Jeezez...I thought Noah Brown had finally been put in the rear view mirror...this guy must have more pictures of Jerrah than The Clapping Carrot did...name ONE thing he has ever done for the Cowboys...wasn’t he cut last year??? To take him over Dez would be braindead...as brain dead as not taking a shot at the TE on our XFL team.

How much $ does Dez have? He should be set for life I’m thinking, hopefully!

Maybe? Maybe not?

It still wouldn't hurt to bring him in, test Dez against Awuzie and/or Lewis. If Dez does well, sign him to the 90 man roster and see how he performs in training camp and preseason games. Then make a decision.

What does it hurt? One's pride?
I totally agree.

Somewhere somebody has either had their feelings hurt or they feel somehow jilted when it comes to Dez.

Lee is the only one left on the team who had any real axe to grind with Dez and his words and actions when he left.

At least I think. Maybe something else we just would not know about is stopping things.

I want to know like you are saying.

Maybe they suspect he is playing some sort of game.

Maybe they are thinking it's too much of a liability to let him tryout.

Maybe they are afraid he will be hurt and they will be on the hook for it.

Those are really issues.

I once had a business in Florida. I was a glass and decorative mirror shop. We sold, fabricated and installed custom mirrors and bars and walls and dining room ceilings, etc.

One time I hired a salesman who came sick to work and shortly after he got thru his first month he qualifies for health insurance on our group policy.

He went into the hospital and next thing he had surgery on his liver and he was out of work for weeks.

Turned out I found out he had gone to work for me knowing he was really sick, had paid one premium on his coverage and got sick. He did not realize he had a 90 day waiting period before coverage started, so he had to pay for everything himself.

This upset him to no end..me too. I did not say anything but he begged for me to keep him on the payroll so he could get to 90 days and get his coverage.

I told him no, could not do that. It is fraud to do that and the company could cancel the whole group policy if they thought we were messing around. I knew that being the business owner.

I let him go becuz he could not work and not pay him for nothing plus let him increase our coverage rates just to cover him.

I felt he was taking advantage of me for sure.

So if Dez is not a 100% yet..we should just sit and wait.

Better safe than sorry.

A small example of how Dez would improve the offense. The same play, against the same team, at nearly the exactly same spot on the field... one thrown to Michael Gallup, the other thrown to Dez.

Totally agree, DW! Dez definitely would have brought that pass down in the endzone and led us to the playoffs last season. Gallup is good..., but he's no Dez. Me thinks there is a lot of pride to be proven wrong on the line in the front office.

Dez can be our #3 easily.. maybe it’s Dak that doesn’t want him. Dak ended Romo and Dez.

Bryant isn't vying for a job he's begging for a job and if any team was even remotely interested in Bryant they could gave signed him months ago. Unlike some here the rest of the league is aware and remembers a couple of things. He's hasn't played a single snap in TWO seasons. The last two seasons he did play he missed leading the league in drops by 1 and did lead the league the other. They are also aware with his less than stellar character having openly arguing and yelling at coaches on the sideline.not forgetting getting he was arrested for hitting his own mother. The other teams knows he became a locker room problem. Lastly Bryant was never thought of as being a fast receiver and with a achilles injury and being 31 he's got to be even slower now and even the last couple years he did play was nothing but a one trick pony. This is why Bryant is begging with no takers.

It depends a lot on Dak. Was it just a chemistry mismatch?
I was thinking the same thing. Seems I remember a bit of a chemistry mismatch as you put it between Dak and Dez.
Plus I would not welcome more of Dez's tantrums on the sideline.

So you’re expecting dez to be the same dez he was before all of the injuries and meltdown? Ok.

Yep Dez had tantrums on the sideline , so did I in my living room watching those games . Common denominator we both love the Cowboys and hate how they were being coached . That problem has been fixed

Dez has NO CAREER TO PROTECT and will play 110% unlike the rest of the prima donnas on this team . he will make them all work harder in camp guaranteed. Hope he gets the shot .

A guy with nothing to lose is a dangerous weapon we could use on this team in big moments when our high paid stars are tapping out and have no urgency to be in the game . Dez may have diminished skills but he has the passion and courage to take the last shot .

But they also need a QB with the accuracy and consistency to get him the ball or he'll get frustrated and out of his game. They don't have that QB in Dak. Thats why Dez did pretty good with Romo. Our receivers are constantly groping to catch errant balls.

true.

there is an excellent video on YouTube that breaks down every incomplete pass to Dez from Dak in 2017.

Dak had delivery problems, to say the least, in 17.

he looked better last season. Maybe Kitna had something to do with that.
