I watch a lot of sports and I live chat on reddit while watching games & every teams own fans are their worst ‘enemies’/critics - it’s not just a Cowboys fan base thing.

I read over and over and over some of the posts that some of you people have to say regarding "our" Dallas Cowboys. You claim to be fans but yet I see comments like: nothing will change; it's been 25 years and I expect the same; not with Dak Prescott; I'll believe it when I see it; and I could go on. It's generally the same one who just come here to throw trash around and name call.

We have every reason to believe that this year will be different!
1) We have a real HC... the best we've had since Parcells
2) We have an entirely new coaching staff from top to bottom hand picked by our new HC sans KM
3) We have a QB that is going into his fifth year that threw for almost 5000 yds and just 11 ints with a 65% comp %
4) We have HC that kept KM to put their heads together to design a new offensive scheme
5) We have 2 new DT with some bulk to stop the run and good rotation of players on the DLine.
6) We have a very good RB that if he's in shape for the season could be like he was drafted
7) We have a new Special Teams Coach - We have 2 new kickers that we can count on so we will see which one sticks something that probably cost us at least 3 games last year.
8) We have the draft and the second wave of FA to add some quality if not outstanding additions.
9) Yes we have some issues on the OLine to straighten out but I believe that MM won't let us go into the season w/o that being addressed.

In closing I'm gonna go out on a limb here and not project a SB win but I believe we will make the playoffs and contend for the NFCC.

Go ahead and trash away!

What's really funny is how this post isn't anything new either,,, we get at least one of these every year on how "this year is different", lol. Well. they're ALL different, and yet things never change,,, ponder this illusion of change for a moment.

OP, You admitted the cowboys aren’t a super bowl caliber team. How is that ok? I get that I can’t expect that from the team every year. But how many times have we as fans had a chance to go into a season thinking the team does have a legit chance to go to a SB in past 22 years? MAYBE twice? Yeah...I’m going to continue to ***** every time the front office continues to put an incomplete roster out there.

And thankfully we are in arguably the worst division in the NFL so we should have a pretty good shot at the playoffs. But from there it’s pretty difficult to think of the Cowboys as a top 6 team in the NFC. Crossing my fingers and hoping of getting hot at the right time isn’t what I’d like as a fan.

Maybe we should wait and see what the team looks like after the draft.........or even once training camp starts (if it does).

The dogpile on the OP was predictable. The vocal Cowboys critics around here were never going to let that message stand unchecked but they can't just disagree, they have to pile on until anyone that shares the OP's opinion remains silent and the dogpilers think they have stiffled any opposing opinion. Good job dogpilers. How dare anyone be opitimistic around here and openly express their observations of this forum. Pounce and pile on!!!

Pathetic one and all!! Welcome to the family @cowboybish. :welcome:Please don't let the critics discourage you from posting here anytime you feel the urge. It takes courage to post your opinion when you know it is a minority opinion... now you know. BUT DO IT ANYWAY, PLEASE! We need you optimism around here. It's like rays of sunlight.

That's why I said "go ahead and trash away" at the end of the post. It was expected.

Cooper 8 tds.
Gallop 4 tds
Jarwin 4 tds

These are the top 3 wrs who traditionally never come off the field on passing snaps and their td averages. Dez put up 16 by himself being double teamed in only 1 season. The top 3 never come off the field skilled players and have 16 tds against what teams????

We lost Beasely and Cobb and kept Witten and then Jarwin.

They shoulda kept Beasely and Cobb and ran some 10 personnell on critical passing downs but they kept the 2 scrub tes to dominate passing snaps out there in 8-8 fashion as always.

Does the Jarwin signing indicate that were gonna leave him out there in that Awful everysnap te role like #82???? Im done with the escobar, hanna, gathers, schultz, and swaim eras. Swaim started and has played over a whole season at te and has only 1 Two yard td pass on his resume. Lol. Witten got 3 playing 75% of the snaps against scrubs and Jarwin had better numbers but drawing #2 te defenders. Lol.

If Jarwin isnt the dominant scoring threat we NEED will Mccarthy use dual slot wrs and rbs or leave these scrub tes on the bench on passing plays?????

Thats the Answer Im looking for. We know none of our other tes could produce or score against great teams for 7 years and they left them out there on every passing down ANYWAYS!!! NOW THAT #82 IS GONE I HOPE WE SEE MORE DUAL SLOT WRS AND RBS. IF WE CAN KEEP SOME!!! OUR SLOT WRS ARE ALWAYS BETTER BUT THE DOMINANT TE PASSING SCHEME NEVER CHANGES!!!

Beasley was too expensive to keep.....besides he'll probably be available a year or two from now when the Bills cut him because of salary.

Jarwin had 3 tds all year. He got them all through the first 8 games. 2 against the giants one against the eagles. Then he fell completely flat and got zero for 8 games. Hes never made a game changing play in his 3 year career. And the blowout games against the giants and philthy are trash stats. Face it he dont have much sauce. Thats getting overpaid. Witten was overpaid.

Beasely and Cobb may have been overpaid because we didnt lock them up early but they were way way way more talented. We lost the talent regardless. Shoulda cut the tes and kept the slot wrs just like we ALWAYS DONT DO! We had no shot to win beans with #82 and Jarwin leading our passing attack. They weakened our offense in is was apparent on the scoreboard and wins and loss column. We let 2 worthy players leave and kept the wrong 2 scrub players who sucked. We shoulda chose the players and not THE POSITION. IMO

Jarwin was a back up. He should be judged as a backup until he actually gets starter reps. Beasley cost too much and got outplayed by Cobb. The offense was fine last year.
