If it comes to it. I think the NFL could just play games in empty stadiums.

Yes they would lose a lot of money on ticket sales/merchandise/etc. but it would be loss of a loss than having nothing. Still plenty of money to mane on Tv contracts, gambling, etc.

Plus I would imagine most players, given their limited time to make money want to miss a year of game checks.

One problem with that. People would be attracted by it and meet outside the stadium to tailgate.

I'm a season ticket holder, but they have invoiced for tickets yet. Last year, we were invoiced on 3/15. Not sure when that will happen this year as I haven't received any contact from the Cowboys, likely because no one is working.

The NFL cares nothing about player health and player brains. What makes anyone think the NFL cares an ounce about the fans?

They don't have an option, but they'll likely end up changing it.

Too much money involved for the owners to just forego it right now. When this carries on, they'll stall and stall as long as they can.

They care plenty about the profits their fans make possible -- it's a passionate love affair governed by their love of moola!

You would have to be a moron to do that if it’s going against guidelines. So I’m sure some morons would do it.

Yes, because of this stadiums in Europe had to shut down. People would just meet outside the stadium to party.

well they have to have a plan even if it doesnt work out they cant stop with making a schedule etc..all this draft and scheduling is to be sure they can be ready at a moments notice should they get cleared to ramp up operations..

im still waiting to see if the Mavs and Stars get shot at the playoffs, id like to see them have like maybe 6 regular season games to get them back up to speed and then go right into the playoffs..

I wont miss baseball much but sad I cant go check out the new Ballpark..

I can't see this happening at all. I just don't think there is a situation where we are still at a place where people are not allowed to be in large groups but leagues will allow players to breathe, sweat, and bleed on each other. If the virus is still a hazard such that fans cannot go to games, how in the world could the NFL justify letting the players be at risk? I just cant see that happening.

This will be short-lived as the virus will likely re-emerge widely in the Fall. Hopefully too many people don’t get exposed in those stadiums before they shut them down.

The first time a player or a fan became infected, the lawsuit would be humongous. Too much liability involved. Ultimately, the decision will not be the NFL's but a govt issue.

Assuming a return to normalcy, I'm going to Cowboys at Rams this year.

Two of my players are playing against each other (Houston at SMU) November 21st, so if the Cowboys have a home game on the 22nd, I'll go. The last 2 years have been road games before our Thanksgiving game but I looked back, and in 2016 and 2017, we got home games just before the Thursday game.

Yup. I can't see the NFLPA going along with this. They are all about player safety.

Why the delay to May 9th on the schedule. It is usually mid April.
Oh I guess they want to make sure when we open against the Giants is really a set date.
Can't be much more than looking bad as if they are proceeding as normal when all other sports arent.

PR thing.

These guys are delusional, and it’s really weird they’re so insistent right now. Just let things play out, and show some awareness

I’ll believe it when I see it. At least nobody promised the schedule release “by Easter.”
