Regarding Mickey: a lot of times I watch games with no sound. People ask don't you need the sound on? I say no. I have watched enough sports over 50 years worth to know what I am looking at. Same goes for Mickey, I don't need him to tell me what I am looking at. Way too much spin in the world and these old eyes rarely lie.

I know he’s not edgy and doesn’t have a bunch of hot takes, but hot takes bore me. I just want information. I don’t need super opinionated sports guys telling me what they think. Many of them are less familiar with the my teams than I am and I get nothing out of their commentary.

He seems like a really nice guy and it’s hard to hate nice guys.

I think the issue is he is perceived mouth piece for Jerry & Stephen. Who they like...he likes. That lack of transparency is easy to spot but he is on the Cowboys payroll so I am not surprised by his takes. What I would suggest is to get additional information from non-Cowboy payroll media members.

I hardly listen to any of those talking head shows anymore so I could care less if Mickey is promoted or fired.

I'm not about to check, but does anyone know if this podcast was actually taped or released today? Was today the day it was supposed to air? I just have a morbid curiosity as to whether the show was even taped or not?

OK, I started listening to Talkin Cowboys again, after hearing the good news. But i figured I would listen to 'Mickey's Last Stand' just to hear what it sounded like. He showed his true colors, fighting and arguing with everyone on the show. I can see why nobody wants to work with him and why he was removed. He deserved it. Poor Bill Jones...

Actually, it never bothered me that he was such a homer. That's his shtick and he gets paid for it. As long as you realize he is just a mouthpiece, its less annoying. What annoyed me is what a jerk he was to everybody.

I just watched the first episode of Mick Shots and it was boring as hell. Mickey telling stories about how Parcells wanted to draft Marcus Spears first and D Ware second and the team did the opposite and how small Eddie Labaron was as a QB, and on and on and on.

Nobody cares what happened 20, 30, 40 years ago, how about discussing this year's team and what MM is doing.

Notice how it's always somebody that does not like somebody some don't like Brian broaddus..some don't like Mickey Spagnola
Ditto with Nate newton, etc etc.

Dunno if podcast producer Derek ingleton likes to periodically shake up the lineup for ratings and compatibility reasons,etc.
But me frankly I though talking cowboys show has been dipping in ratings and interest point since broaddus was removed from cowboys podcast shows altogether.

Apparently they've tried to sub him with guest like everson walls (ugh) and jessie holly
who normally does the hanging with the boys podcast show for awhile.but that didn't sit too well either.

Maybe some dont like the way a spagnola or broaddus goes about expressing their thoughts and views but I thought they had the charisma and ignition to bring intrigue and interest point to the show
I dont get that with the other guests and sub ins.
