Are we interested? I SAY YES.

8 months removed from an acl injury..most likely not , cant even give him physicals or workouts, no projects in the drafts or FA..no high risks players needed with nearly no offseason to get it worked out..

Logan Ryan can fill this hole and im wondering why hes still available..hes my choice since he hit FA and BJ walked..

The reason he's still available should tell fans that the teams know something that fans don't know and there's a reason he's not been signed yet.

Meh, tells us nothing.. hes a solid vet and we need one of those as CB regardless of the draft ..so Dre, 8 months removed from an ACL we should look at..SMH

OK Marinelli and Garett is that you..lol

I'll say it again the reason he's still available should tell fans that the teams know something that fans don't know and there's a reason he's not been signed yet. The difference is teams have professional scouts and GM's and fans only think they're scouts and GM's.

Yes it is but then those that actually follow the sport know that the average is just that and it's padded by backup players and practice squad players that don't amount to anything and get cut and never picked up again or players that sustain an injury and are never the same or were just borderline to start out with. Now look at the career length of the players who start and see how many of them play longer than 4 years. The 3.5 year average is the number the NFLPA keeps putting out to help the players cash in because of the short careers, but that average also depends on position. Another thing is stats on average NFL careers put out by the league is longer depending on several things. Those that make the active/inactive roster as rookies have a 67 year average. Those that least three pension seasons have an average of 7.1 years. The average career length for a first-round draft pick is 9.3 years and the average career length for a player who is selected for or plays in at least one Pro Bowl is 11.7 year. Now these numbers are from 2011 but they have gone up not down since then.

So yes, NFL. The average length of a career in your league six years... but only if you don't count anyone who is below average.

You can't be selective in who you count if you want legit stats.

I expect the Cowboys to take a young stud CB pretty early in the upcoming draft.
I think I'd much prefer to do that than to get another aging vet for more $$.

So you say that the NFL doesn't have legit stats and only the NFLPA has legit stats? All the NFL did was break down average careers based on different criteria. Just like when they break down some completion percentages based on whether they 20+ yards or 40+ yards. Do you question those stats too. The NFLPA takes all the players every year that get drafted and cut before the start of the season and they count those as 1 year career which helps bring down the average length career. The NFL doesn't count those players. The NFLPA tries to make the average career length as short as possible to use as a ploy for larger contracts because their average career to make money isn't very long. If anything people should be questioning the NFLPA's stats.

I don’t even think there’s a center available to pick at 17.
The kid from Wisconsin whose name I can't spell but it starts with a b is the top center. I think he's projected by many to be a 2nd or 3rd round pick. It's pretty thin at center this year. We might as well let our previous draft pick and Looney Duke it out this season to see who starts.

Whatever. If you think he's such a great find - that's great. I'll still believe that the actual NFL scouts and GM's around the league just might know something that fans are not aware of and that's why he's not signed by any team yet.

Dude has been a part of one of the worst secondaries over the past few years.

Decent cover skills still, brings a ton of penalties in critical times, and is a major liability tackling.

Would be ok depth, but not sure I'd take him over what we have.
This glowing endorsement of Dre really makes our current secondary sound like trash. I hope they ain’t that bad.

He’s on the wrong side of 30 and hasn’t been good for a couple of years... it definitely sounds like this year’s FA plan.

Upgrades are upgrades
