As you know NFL always adjust, and that will be the case for this offense if they don’t add another deep threat to the unit.

I believe this draft is the perfect place to pickup a speedy WR that can play the slot and go out the deep to take the safeties away from Amari and & Zeke ( similar role Ted Ginn played for Panthers and Saints)

Either you get a top tier drop down to 17 or picking up one up in the mid rounds the personnel is going to be there to get scooped up!

It will also make your franchise QB very happy and not mid OTAs or training camp.

Cooper ran 4.42. He also weighed 210. Now he's 225 and was injured. He needs to drop 10 pounds. His inconsistency actually started when he put on weight.

If monster DT Javon Kinlaw is long gone by the time the Cowboys pick in the first round at the #17th pick, I would love if the Cowboys traded down into the mid-to-late 20s, picked up an extra late 2nd round pick (or a 3rd and 4th), then use that traded down late 1st round pick on this sleeper monster WR who has all the intangibles you are looking for...

6'3", 215 lbs, 4.38 40 yd dash, 40+ vertical, 11 foot broad jump, tall, long, fast, good route runner, strong, good hands, excellent run blocker, tough to bring down and excellent athletic ability: Baylor WR Denzel Mims.

Mims is another Terrell Owens. Just watch film on him and see...

Adding Mims would make our Offense absolutely invincible! Place Mims on the outside while moving Amari Cooper inside to the slot to better use his quickness and speed. Or keep Mims and Cooper on the outside while moving Gallup inside at the slot? Either way, with this trio of WRs constantly on the field, our Offense would be deadly.

Love Mims, in the 3rd.

so even critique? So for example I saw the flaws in Jaylon Smith in 2018 despite people thinking he was great, and then he goes on to get exposed in 2019 for things I already expected? How about I recognized Josh Norman as a very good player before the media and fans were all over him the following year, then people try to say he was only a one year wonder. Some of you act like there's just 100% hate and nothing more with Dak when anyone opens their mouth about him. I even had a thread at one point for the defenders to post what they think Dak needs to improve on and not one single defender could actually come out and say anything, that's how sad and petty the other side of this argument is.

You watched Mahome in the playoffs, correct? Outside the superbowl this guy was on point for almost every pass. The few times in a game he had bad passes you'd have trolls instantly come out saying "guess Dak isn't the only one that sucks". I even agreed there were bad passes. But then you can call out Dak for throwing SEVERAL, and I mean noticeably more than a few, bad passes a game where the ball sailed too high on a open receiver preventing more YAC, too low again preventing any chance of YAC, behind the receiver preventing any YAC. Dak can't even consistently throw the ball to protect a receiver - he'll lead his dudes head on into a defender locked in on the hit. Is that fair enough for you?

Yes I'm fully aware of the dropped passes and I'm fully aware no qb is perfect, save that tired argument. We're talking about Daks game and his inabilities are bigger issues than any amount of drops he has. Defender logic after 2018: Dak took all those sacks because of Garrett, Zeke, the OLine, the receivers, scheme, etc. Defender logic in 2019: Dak took so many less sacks, clearly he's improving! I mean damn, if he wasn't at fault in 2018 for those ridiculous sacks then the team around him must have gotten that much better in 2019, no?

I don't even know why I responded, we're both stuck in the same boat with what we have on the field. People can try to look at it in a always positive light, it's whatever.
RE your thread: Dak threads have become a kindergarten spitwad throwing contest. Most posters have had their say about Dak and now avoid his threads. Using the non-response as some sort of gauge would be inaccurate due to an incomplete evaluation.

Our offense does desperately need speed.

We our not an explosive team and it’s a big play explosive league.

A guy like Ruggs could open up the entire offense...

We need to defense though and I think DL or Corner will be our first pick.

Yes, MIMS is going to go sooner than some think. I do like Aiyuk as well.

Trade whomever must be traded to get CeeDee Lamb.
Cowboys were #1 in yards and #6 in scoring last year.

Too many holes on defense to use multiple high draft picks on a WR.

Shore up the defense and special teams, replace Garrett with McCarthy, make plans to play football in January.

K, it would be a miracle if Mims dropped to the 3rd round. Afraid he won't make it past the 1st. Ugh.
Prolly not, but since he's very raw and there are big questions about his route running, I wouldn't take him before that. I think it's going to take a year or two, depending on his learning ability.

Heck, Steve Largent works for this old fan...

Largent set a great number of records for Seattle. When asked by a reporter, "What's your favorite record?" He answered, "The Beatles White Album."

Why would Dallas bother drafting a WR that high when they already have Cooper and Gallup?

Unless you NEED a #1 WR type, this is not the draft to be taking one high. plenty of good talent in the pool.
Because he’s CeeDee Lamb baby!!!

who, Ruggs and Lamb? I am well aware that they are great, along with Jeudy. But Dallas doesn't need that type of WR, especially at the 17th pick when they have MASSIVE needs on defense. If you are going to draft a WR, do it with your 3rd rounder. Deep talent pool at WR this year, much like last year, and quality names will be around.
You can’t pass on CeeDee Lamb if he’s sitting there at pick 17 bro :)

Could you imagine if we re-signed Byron Jones and Chido was going into his 3rd year with Chris Westry as your 3rd CB. Then Okudah falls to your pick at 17....that’s the defensive equivalent.

smith and Austin are still on the team....lets see if the new scheme can utilize them better.

Look speed is important, but what matters most is production when you put the helmet on. We have 3 good receivers that can make big plays and produce. Plus there are 3 guys on the team that ran sub 4.5 40s. Speed alone often doesn't translate to success, but we're obsessed with it.

Amari Cooper- 4.42
Devin Smith- 4.42
Jon'Vea Johnson- 4.45
