It didn't go over my head, Melvin. It went over yours. The reason why you take more of a chance with Smith is he was actually a good player. Gregory was not. The two should never be compared.

I said in another thread that, after what Quinn did last year, guys looking for "show me" deals are gonna be lining up to play opposite Tank because of the immense # of double teams he takes.

Not the signing I expected but makes a ton of sense

I personally put this philosophy on Stephen. McCray is just being a good soldier and doing his job imo. This isn’t a bad signing. Low risk, but high reward. No beef with this one.

This is very much likely a "4 mill if you make the team and play well" deal. Ask yourself this ... if a guy who was once a dominant DE comes in and earns enough playing time to rack up eight sacks in the season, is that player worth 4 mill? He sure would be.

Only crazy thing is that people over and over fail to understand the non-guaranteed nature of most NFL contracts.

Report of a 2mil salary, 2mil in incentives, I haven't seen word on gtd money.

Very low risk, high upside. Nothing not to like.
