Some people on here are incapable of being happy.

From purely a football perspective, how is this not a good signing? Literally no financial obligation, and if it works out and Smith is even half the player he once was, it’s great for us.

To those who whine about past character issues — just stop. Spare me your self righteousness.

People can and do change; and if he hasn’t changed, he’s out the door with no $ wasted. This is a football team. Being a choirboy is not a prerequisite.

McClay has a habit of finding this type of player,see Quin last year and other reclamation projects.

High possibility or if Okudah somehow gets around the 8-10 pick they could trade up. It's also possible that go WR with first pick as well.

I listed safety because the draft is deep with receivers and corners. Grab McKinney or Delpit than go corner in the 2nd. Either way Dallas has options now.

So I figured that we would go another direction. But Aldon Smith? I have to admit, I did NOT see that one coming.
