I like they made changes but don't really expect much of an upgrade at dt or s. Just fill guys for a year or 2 imo

I do with Poe pushing the Pocket, McCoy getting up field it will create a ton for Lawrence on 1v1, and allows the LB's to run freely without guys getting to the 2nd level.

RE is going to be the real question mark.

Anthony Brown from 2-3 years ago was really good, but we need him to get back to that level. Richard always gets a lot out of his defenses, but they digress over time that's why the Seahawks moved on.

New faces, will bring a different energy and new spark.

Meh...not a fan of smaller speed receivers in the 1st round.

This use to be my philosophy.. but times have changed... Hollywood Brown at #25 was one of the best picks last year... Height doesn't matter when you're wide OPEN. Ruggs will be impossible to cover, even in the NFL. I doubt we go Ruggs though if we didn't even interview him, Cowboys always show their hand. I hope it was a smokescreen and he falls to us.

Even if Brown is good, the hit rate is still low.

It’s not just philosophy, it’s facts based off the history of the draft and how those players have performed.

Don't want WR in the first round. Hamler in the second round would be better value.

I agree but I think this only applies to short guys that are top ten picks. Then I would be scared. At 17 this is a great pick to draft someone of his skill set. The top two wideouts will already be drafted. Ruggs might be there. Also, Cooper and Gallup on the edge and Ruggs in the slot, there is no way that you wouldn't like this pick based on our situation.

Henry Ruggs III 4.27 40 yard dash! Holleee Moleeee that is fast. Randall Cobb at the combine in 2011 ran 4.44. Huge upgrade for the cowboys.

Why does it change from 10 to 17? We have a premium, top 20 pick.

The only WRs I’m drafting in the top 20 are guys I believe can be #1. Ruggs is not that, and there’s injury and bust risk.

Its not like Ruggs is tiny or anything. He is 6' 190

Of the options available in the poll I have to go with indifferent.

Because frankly I just don't know who else would be available.

If there were a player I liked better there that also fit a need and we passed on them for the WR...I would not be happy.

If Ruggs was by far the best player at that point and we could not trade down...I would be happy to take him.

Not if he can't play.

I think he's going to be primarily a deep threat. You can get those guys in the 4th.

I just don’t get the infatuation. I really like the player, but it makes zero sense to draft him so early IMO.

You can find deep threats in rounds 3-5. Jeff Thomas, Reagor, Quartney Davis, Mims. Collin Johnson, although not a burner, is a beast downfield due to being enormous.

I think KJ Hamler is the Cowboys interviewed late round deep-threat that I kindof like. I like Devin Duvernay personally over most. The reason I like Ruggs III, I"m not sure. I hate offensive guys normally, especially in the first round. However, This guy seems to be a complete nightmare for teams to figure out. He played against talented SEC Defenses. Yes, the main corners on most teams were worried about Jeudy, but some of the game tape I watched, Jeudy tremendously benefited from the distraction Ruggs caused. He would run huge sweeping deep posts and the entire secondary would take the bait, leaving ideal one on ones. Ruggs also has great hands from what I saw and caught the ball in tight spots.

I like Ruggs, just not sure I like him enough to take him at 17. And w/ WR not being a need, I'd find the pick a bit strange.

Hamler: If he lasts past the 2nd, I'd be shocked.

I would love to see a true speedster on our offense once again. It has been a long while. Would be a nice addition for sure.

I've never really understood why we refuse to draft one.
We were looking last year. We have Mecole Hardman in for a visit, as well as a another mid round guy. Might have picked Hardman in the 3rd if he lasted

Darius Slayton went in the 5th to the Giants.

Riley Ridley in the 4th to CHI.

We never even try. Not sure just why. Maybe due to our very strange drafting strategy?
