I just came off a three day suspension after being in a squabble with
some idiot because I had the audacity to call Michael Bennett a bad person.
This kid stalked me for 24 hours. Name calling, etc. For some reason, I cannot
report anyone... still. So, i took matters into my own hands and, guess what, I get
benched. The other guy got nothing.

My first post back and, possibly, the worst member here wants to poke the bear.

I understand the draft as well as anybody, you have a limited number of chances with a multitude of needs. A draft is seldom about one pick, even the no. 1 pick, Dallas was in that situation twice, and picked Dorsett and Aikman, both of which worked out wonderfully.

Dorsett was the final added piece to a very good team, that made them excellent, Aikman was the cornerstone of a rebuilding team.

The 2021 Cowboys are in neither of those situations. Take a receiver at 17, take a corner at 17, either one can help the team if they pan out. But also either one is going to be one of the BPAs, whether you choose to help the defense or the offense is the decision to be made.

And considering we have a Pro Bowl receiver and an already pretty good no. 2 receiver, I see no problem with helping the defense over the offense at 17, really it will come down to who's available at 17, if 5-6 receivers are off the board by the no. 17 selection, it would not make sense to take one anyway. All the good corners could be gone by 17 also, in which case a top receiver pick at 17 wouldn't be the worst pick....

I just don’t see any justification at all in spending a first round pick on a WR. Gallup and Cooper are going to just have to suck it up and make up for whatever we put in the slot.

The defense just has way too many holes to draft a third wide receiver when we have Zeke, Jarwin, Gallup and Cooper at thr skill positions already

I agree about the WR's. It's time for coop and especially Gallup to get after it. IMO Dak will essential to making that happen. He simply has to be bettter putting them in position to make the most of things. Not that he was terrible....just better.
