The New DL-McCoy, Dontari, Gregory, Irving, Hill, Woods is bad

LOL Irving is done. I never got the hype over him anyway, especially after how he burnt every bridge possible on the way out of Dallas.

The hype was, at his best, he was absolutely unblockable. The guy destroyed double teams while still being a great pass rusher. The game against the Packers could have/should have been the beginning of a highlight career. Choosing weed over tens of millions of dollars shows his biggest weakness: decision making.

This OL has been on the downswing for a couple years now. Aging and overpaid. Smith is one bad hit away from retiring too. Garrett was all about having a beast Oline and we had nothing to show for it.

Defense wins championships.

Not concerned with any rust from Smith, same as I will not be concerned with Gregory returning.
I think sometimes that is overblown. They can have all off-season to work out, train, as they have been anyway. Then will have a full TC. Maybe they hit the tackling dummies to keep some semblance of hitting that way, who knows for sure.

The "game shape" stuff is a myth. Padded practices are being cut down from 28 to 16. Players don't really hit in TC. Not until PS games. By then all players will have had 7 to 8 months off from hitting anyway.

It is simple math. 2 RUSTS = a positive and becomes IRON again. :D

Reports are both players have been working out and are basically ready to go.

Now don't get me wrong, that's not football condition. But still, it's a darn good sign!

in the end I don't think none of it really matters because I don't believe there will be a 2020 season I think like every thing else the nfl will be totally different now just like the world and the usa will be totally different places

To me it is DESIRE. I do not want anyone who doesn't want this. David Irving doesn't want this. It is like he does it because he has too. But his heart is not in it. That to me makes him USELESS to me. Hopefully Dallas stays away from him.

We lost 2 of the 3 best passrushers from last season. This DL has not improved. Gregory and Smith are kind of wildcards, but I wouldn't bet on them being better than Quinn.

The only hope, as it stands, for this group to be effective rushing the passer is

Gregory - McCoy - Lawrence - Smith.

That's a colossal if.

Now is this what. Is about to happen?

And if we take a DL high in the Draft..

this place is going to erupt.

Suddenly..

Our OL may not be as good as our DL.

What do you guys think?

I forgot we need to add Tank.

This is alot of Pro Bowls between them, Bros.

Comments?

I think its the right way to go.

Dak did show thateven with supreme talent he is not able to move the offense against food teams. Beefing up the defense is a good solution.

I like high scoring offense but an intimedating defense is what i love watching. Especially if its ours.

Yes

Way cool.

I know we all have tired of watching us drive methodically down the field and score..

and more often than not kick a FG and not a TD..

only to watch the defense give it right back 5 .minutes later.

I am ready for a more balanced thing. If we score less..its fine as long as the other team does not have it easy.

That bend but don't break mentality with Marinelli had just outlived its prime.

It made us look weak and simplified how teams played us.

Good riddance.

Irving has had his moments.

Like Smith and Gregory all of them have issues. But I would not just write them off.

The NFL is an edifice of social belief. It wants to make decisions that are really too big for them to handle.

Things like social changes on abuse, drug use and gambling, etc are just too big for them.

They need to stop doing this stuff.

Irving needs to play and get paid what he can be worth. It is not up to the fans to decide.

Just my 2 cents. As fans we make decisions usually based on incomplete info. Or on info with agendas.

Must other fans and teams hate us. We all have to remember that.
