How good is our 3rd QB -Clayton Thorson?

He was mind-boggling bad in the preseason. There is bad, and then there is ‘what the hell was that’ bad. Perhaps he can grow out if it and be a decent backup in time

Cooper Rush got the benefit of the doubt last season because of time served and knowledge of the system. We will see what happens this year, assuming a training camp battle.

I do hope that the Cowboys also draft a QB. I don’t care who your QB1 is, it always makes sense to pick a QB in the draft.

Game is too fast for him, and he's unable to go through his progressions or see a WR about to break open. Waits til they are open, which is often too late.

At this point in time, Thorson is a shot in the dark to be something more than that. He'll get his chance in TC to impress. Let's hope he does.

At this point the Cowboys need to be looking at moving on without Dak. Cowboys need to quit being cheap and use a 1st round pick on an QB in the draft either this year or the following year.

@basel90 Good question. Thanks for the thread. From what I remember and heard, the Eagles wanted to keep him but could not keep 4 QBs on the roster. I thought he was having a decent camp with the Eagles. I do not remember watching him in college. He has a year of film study and practice.

you need to draft BQBA (Best QB Available) and get ready to move on from Dak.

I realize Jerrah wants Dak. But he wants stock equivalent salary to play for us.

I will root for Daks failure in 2020 if it means giving him $50 mil/ yr after his Tag expires this year.

We can not give Dak 20% of our cap to play for us.
