Purely hypothetical and not at all a prediction but this period I think should make us thankful for when sports do come back that at least they provide entertainment.
So in a pure vacuum and not taking into account what happens for the rest of society if there were to be no NFL, think if it were a strike, would you rather Dallas go 6-10 for 3 straight years or have no NFL at all in 2020.
Well, "in a pure vacuum (let's assume one even exists [which it doesn't])" there would be no particles; there would be absolutely nothing. No grass/fake grass, no players, no football, no fans, no cheerleaders, no hot dogs, no beer, no TV, etc. Even space is not a pure vacuum. I fail to see how your hypothetical holds any water. By the way, there is no pure water either. You can never achieve only 2 hydrogen molecules and one oxygen molecule. But I digress.
To answer your hypothetical, I would rather there be no season at all in 2020 than 3 straight years of 6-10 failures. In your hypothetical, if there ends up being no NFL for 2020, then does that guarantee there will be no three years of 6-10 from 2021-2023. Or, is it no 6-10 seasons from 2020-2022? How do you rule out the possibility of no NFL in 2020 and the Cowboys going three consecutive seasons of 6-10?
Now, I would gladly accept no NFL in 2020 for a Cowboy super bowl championship in 2021.
Hopefully, there will be no shortened season for 2020. The Skins tend to do good in shortened seasons from what I heard. And I want none of that
