If there is a full season in 2020, there cannot be a 6-10 season with a 17-game schedule! :muttley:
Oh Bullflop..

Give him a break..

He has been up for days watching Matrix Trilogys and YouTube football and who can remember things like 17 game seasons.?

Dave Campo says he can beat that!!!! We've already had three straight seasons of 5-11, 6-10 would be a bonus!! lol

Three straight 6-10 seasons would suck but not having an NFL season would suck even more. I’m a Cowboys fan but also an NFL fan. I know there’s some fans who stop watching football once the Cowboys season is over but not me. Granted watching football isn’t as much fun when the Cowboys are having a bad season or have been eliminated from the playoffs but I still enjoy watching. If you think it’s boring now just imagine if there’s no NFL season and we’re still dealing with all these restrictions. That may become a sobering reality.

As bizarre as this IS, if you're asking me if I would like ONE miserable season or THREE, I'm gonna go ahead and take the ONE, and figure that'll be the much longer line.

I would rather watch football than not!
-especially if I'm trapped at home.

I'll be shocked if there's a 2020 season though.

They are not going to pack fans into stadiums in just a few months from now.

That would be the 2021 season sir lol 2020 is 16 games

My adult son, a semi-genius (mainly in my eyes) said it was 17 and I trusted him!
I just googled it and much to my dismay, it does appear you're correct!
That's my (lame) excuse and by God, I'm sticking with it!

Just imagine the problems teams are going to face if there’s no NFL season in 2020. If there’s no NFL season there won’t be a college football season. Good luck trying to evaluate the next class of college players if they miss their junior and senior years in 2020. NFL teams will be entering 2021 training camps with 2 draft classes. Imagine trying to make decisions on what young players to keep from this years draft and next years draft with limited practices due to the new CBA. There may not be any OTA’s under the new CBA. The NFL will have to come up with a plan allowing teams to hang on to their draft picks long enough so they can be evaluated due to the missed 2020 season. This year’s draft class will get no practice time or games if the season is canceled. We won’t know who can play from this draft class until next summer. The NFL is really going to be scrambling trying to figure things out if the 2020 season is canceled.

Purely hypothetical and not at all a prediction but this period I think should make us thankful for when sports do come back that at least they provide entertainment.

So in a pure vacuum and not taking into account what happens for the rest of society if there were to be no NFL, think if it were a strike, would you rather Dallas go 6-10 for 3 straight years or have no NFL at all in 2020.

Well, "in a pure vacuum (let's assume one even exists [which it doesn't])" there would be no particles; there would be absolutely nothing. No grass/fake grass, no players, no football, no fans, no cheerleaders, no hot dogs, no beer, no TV, etc. Even space is not a pure vacuum. I fail to see how your hypothetical holds any water. By the way, there is no pure water either. You can never achieve only 2 hydrogen molecules and one oxygen molecule. But I digress.

To answer your hypothetical, I would rather there be no season at all in 2020 than 3 straight years of 6-10 failures. In your hypothetical, if there ends up being no NFL for 2020, then does that guarantee there will be no three years of 6-10 from 2021-2023. Or, is it no 6-10 seasons from 2020-2022? How do you rule out the possibility of no NFL in 2020 and the Cowboys going three consecutive seasons of 6-10?

Now, I would gladly accept no NFL in 2020 for a Cowboy super bowl championship in 2021.

Hopefully, there will be no shortened season for 2020. The Skins tend to do good in shortened seasons from what I heard. And I want none of that :)

Well i dont understand the difference.

Id rather have 1 seaosn without football and then losing seasons. Or the same losing seasons without a break ?

I just cant decide.
