Been doing a lot of mock simulations in my quarantine time. Been trading back with Jax to 20 and then again with NE at 23. Still able to get a really good player at that point (Delpit, Ruggs. McKinney, Baun) and get a nice haul of picks to boot. Obviously it takes two to tango but I’d love to see us trading back this year.

Trading back once and getting a good package is a possibility if there is need to get to 17 for a QB

If we trade back I want to get a third at least. Those little trade backs probably net a fourth or less.

MIN makes a real good trade back partner. Moving from 17 to 25 would net us both of their 3rd round picks (89 and 105) in a very even trade points wise.

Best trade back I've seen yet was with KC. Cowboys send 17 and 4th to KC for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

That gives the Cowboys 5 picks in the first 3 rounds and top 100.

Jeff Cavenaugh has done a bunch of mocks and IMO the best one had us trading back twice to the late first round & then being able to take some solid players with picks 1-5. The remaining picks were probably good as well, I just wasn't familiar with them.

Its interesting for sure. There are a few players i wouldn't pass on at 17 ..... but not good odds they will be there.

What type of mocks are these where you are at 20 and Ruggs is available? If he's there at 17...they better draft him.

I think every fan, every year wants to trade back...the reality of the situation is that you are going to miss on some of these picks you are trading back for. Quality>Quantity when it comes to the draft.

There are for sure scenarios that could be possible where trading back is best this year, but it definitely shouldn’t be the goal going into the draft. We need to draft elite talent if it’s available
