Why Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts to the Dallas Cowboys makes sense

I sure said it and you are still too dense to know why. I don’t have to like Dak because of your baseless accusations. The best QBs in league history have been similar to Brady, Manning, Brees, Etc. Great pocket passers with accuracy, leadership and they have the ability to improve everyone around them. Dak or Hurts are not in line with that style. Look beyond the race baiting and you can see that. I have higher expectations than you apparently.

I applaud you for standing your ground.
It has been my experience that those who make accusations
such as that are, in fact, typically the worst offenders.

I somewhat disagree on the QB preference. Today's NFL almost
requires a part time running QB...almost.

Yet, there is something majestic about a Field General standing tall
and delivering a strike just before the pass rush can get to him.

So if Patrick Mahomes was the Cowboys QB, would you be on board with him? Or would you be hoping to replace him?

There are more than 37,000 members to this forum.
Yet, you are focusing on a "few posters".
This type of perpetuating hate has no place on this board
no matter which direction it's coming from.
“Fine people on both sides”, eh?

you ever feel bad for Dak when this offense is flatter than a patriots football? I know I have and it's because I know what he is. When ya'll sit silent waiting for those 1 or 2 plays to happen in the 4th quarter is that all there is leading up to that point, just silence, just a void in time? serious question.

Are we going to do this every day until the draft is over?

Jalen Hurts cannot play QB folks. He is a good leader. He has a strong arm. That does not matter in the NFL. He CANNOT read defenses. He CANNOT anticipate throws. He is sometimes blind out there. And runs when given the chance. He is just an awful QB.

He has somewhat impressive stats only bc he spent his entire college career throwing to Calvin Ridley and CeeDee Lamb. Oklahoma is a system. They only produce system QBs. Mayfield? Bust. Murray? Bust
sounds a lot like our guy...everything you just said

Jalen will be gone by the time selecting him would be justifiable for DAL, which, would be 4th round.

This is this guy's opinion on his speculating about this and he may actually believe this or he could be doing what most sportswriters do during the offseason and write stuff just to get clicks to up his pay in the down time of the year.

Here's why in my opinion this makes no sense. First even if it's after the draft, Prescott will sign either the franchise tag and report or they will get a long term contract and he reports. Prescott is an intelligent individual and he knows by sitting out he'll lose money that will never be recouped so it will be just throwing money away. So if this doesn't happen until after the draft, wasting a 1st through 3rd round pick on a QB when the defense needs help, Tyron Smith has started to miss games the past couple of seasons with a bad thing his back, maybe a center if the Cowboys aren't 100% sold on Looney, maybe a slot receiver, but there are more pressing needs than another QB right now.

Murray is bust after one season, he actually played well and now has more weapons'? LMAO

Mayfield overrated but not a bust..yet

all this was said about Jackson and to some Extent Texas Tech doesnt produce stars when Mahomes was taken, he was on bad teams, didnt look great, just a yardage producer in a system.... hows that narrative being busted?

you cant Judge them all the same.. they get drafted and if given a solid team around them and a chance to eb good, most can be..

im sorry but I see Dak in Jhurts and as a 4th rounder worth a shot..awful ***e dude,,no one knows kid could be bust or light it up..4th-7th rounds gives him a better team to be on and time to develop..you cant take kids like that high in the first because then maybe they are called busts on bad teams and not given enough time to develop..

I say we take him use him this season as a Thill type and let him get his feet wet while learning the system under Dak but he would be taking Rushes job this year not Daks but if he shows anything he could allow us to trade dak in 2021 and thats worth a shot as 4th rounder..

Let’s be honest.

It doesn’t matter who the QB is y’all are still gonna hate him.

Y’all hate Tony Romo. Y’all hated Troy Aikman. Y’all hated Danny White.

So I’m done with arguing with you all about QBs. You are incapable of using unbiased judgement when it comes to QBs. I dont really care about convincing anyone.

I do know a few things though and I’ll be proven correct.

Jalen Hurts will never be a successful QB

Dak Prescott is better than anybody on here will ever give him credit for

And because of how Cowboys fans treat their QBs you’ll always be a laughing stock and the butt end of jokes from other NFL teams and fans

I wouldn't mind another 4th round quarterback if he is there. Backup for sure.

It only makes sense if you plan on doing it later on and developing him. It does not make sense to draft him in the 1st 4 rounds.
I think it makes sense because we are assuming that Dak might not show up for training camp if that is possible. He may hold out we don’t know his mind set. They do have similar traits.

If he doesn’t show up to camp you have a bigger problem. You need to be signing a veteran backup then.

The things you mentioned are just like the current starter here. That’s funny how folks saying he can’t play but when the same things are said about Alex Smith Jr everybody is a hater.[/. Dak is a far better quarterback than Hurts is at this point in their careers. As much as some on here want to belittle it, Dak is a more than competent NFL quarterback. It remains to be seen what Hurts will be as a NFL player. You can compare their skill sets as much as you want, but similar skill sets don’t make players succeed in the NFL.

Calling Mayfield and Murray busts is laughable. But I agree on Hurts...he sucks.
