I think it is July sometime?
July 15
At 4:00 p.m., New York time, deadline for any club that designated a Franchise Player to sign such player to a multiyear contract or extension. After this date, the player may sign only a oneyear contract with his prior club for the 2020 season, and such contract cannot be extended until after the club’s last regular season game.

I think the team is getting ready to make a big change at QB.

I think they have gone as far as they want to risk the team with Dak.

Aaron Roger's or Drew Brees he is not.

Quietly Dallas is looking at their options I believe.

They leaked that video clip of Jones interviewing a top QB in the draft the other day.

Clearly this is a message to Dak and his agent. Come to reasonable terms..

Or they will draft a QB high and withdraw the Tag on Dak and use his money elsewhere.

I do not think they are bluffing. Jerrah and team are going to get back control of the team for McCarthy going forward.

I think the team is willing to dance with Dak.

But I do not think they are willing to follow his lead.

McCarthy is now in charge. Not Garrett. Garrett was a pushover. McCarthy is a rock.

So while alot of us want to play draft experts and debate DBs and DL as our top picks..

QB maybe the real position needing a decision.

BTW-I am not looking for a fist fight here over Dak. Just observations from you guys about the team thinking.

That is all.

If you're a Dak employee beware as this post contains the "truth" and it just might hurt your feelings.

As long as Dak is without a franchise deal everything is possible.
Zeke Paid
D-Law Paid
Coop Paid
Heck, even Jaylon got Paid.

Yes, Jerry is probably the most inept GM in the NFL but I'm figuring that someone in the Family or all are not sold on Dak being the future franchise QB of our team.
Look for Dak to fail his upcoming test again and our team to finally be rid of this most inept imposter of an NFL QB!
LOL..one more nail .....dude has a banner year and we finish 8-8.

Maybe MM had a pre conditioned deal/agreement with Jerry, that at least the option is there.

You could win a Superbowl with Dak.
I absolutely disagree! He is way too inconsistent to beat 4 good teams in a row. And the idea of building a #1 defense has sailed with his rookie contract. It took a lot of crappy years and first round picks for the 49ers to build that defense. You just dont see those kind of defenses anymore.

I think the team would be crazy not to follow up on options. IM not buying into this Jerry wants a 5 year deal and Dak wants a 4 year deal crap. If Jerry and Stephen REALLY believe Dak is the future franchise QB they would of had a deal done a long time ago. One of those two doesnt believe in him and they arent being fooled by empty stats. Im not saying Dak cant be a decent NFL QB but the question is how good is he compared to what he wants to get paid. I dont know who the Cowboys interviewed but it would be great if they took this seriously and are considering a QB with their 1st round pick.

I guess we've came to the you're obtuse, stupid, etc because you don't agree with the other posters post part of the discussion. None of them would do it based on history but you believe what you want sir

Hilarious that you called yourself out. You asked for a list, I gave one.

You gave a list but none of those teams were doing it so that list is bs. That’s the point but guess you want to be obtuse now. You Dak people stay on that obtuse level though but I figure that’s the level y’all have to be at to root for such average play. I never called myself out but I don’t expect much from you people online.

If that was the case they surely would have used the non-exclusive tag on Dak not the exclusive and hope to pick up 2 first-round picks.

In conclusion, you are misreading the tea leaves.

Don't read too much into Jalen Hurts. I think he may actually be a descent QB but at the current time I think Dak is their guy and
they maybe thinking if they selected Hurts he will come in and compete with Rush which I think he would beat out Rush and could
actually give Dak some competition and in the long run next year or year after they would have a really nice backup that could become
their future starter or get you a higher draft pick. Basically an investment.

Dallas will not rescind the tag on Dak. They may draft a QB high (even the first round) and look to trade Dak for a king’s ransom, but they are not pulling the tag on him.

At least that’s how I see it. It would save the Cowboys more money to pull the tag but they would only get a 3rd round comp pick out of Dak. Someone might give up a lot more for Dak in a trade scenario.

Why make him the highest paid QB in the NFL when you could use that money fixing the holes and depth in other places on this roster as you mentioned above? Dak is ranked in the 12-15th spot as far as QBs are concerned. No team friendly deal, I'm keeping him on the tag (about 27 million right now after Ben and others restructured) and drafting his replacement. MM is known for spotting and developing young QBs. Dak's drama is too much for this team.

Dak is a better QB than 12-15, but otherwise your point has some merit.

You could win a Superbowl with Dak. You can’t say that about a lot of guys. Energy is better spent upgrading the holes and depth in other places on this roster.

Setup right you could likely win with any of them. So you can say that about a lot of guys.

Joe Flacco
Nick Foles
list goes on and on.
