I believe it. And I believe Kellen Moore also had his hand forced as well. Its insane......its literally like Garrett sabotaged himself last season.
And he shouldnt have been able to do so. His loser ginger a** should’ve been fired after his 3rd 8-8 season.

I’m among many on this board who thought JG was never head coach material with that being said, the last 23 years speaks for itself. The downfall of this organization falls square on JJ. We will continue to be a doormat for other teams going to the big dance until he backs off and let’s real football minded personal call the shots.

Jerry has responsibility ultimately getting quality players in here. Frankly over the last few season I think the talent level has been here to win. No doubt we have holes then again so does everyone else, no team has pro bowlers at all position but Cowboys have had the players to win football games. You would find few who covers the game who would disagree which is why you had people like Urban Myers saying any HC would want to coach here with the talent they have. Garrett job was to take that talent and win balls games and in the end did not get it done. I think Jerry is an easy scape goat and I will be the 1st to say there are things he has done, players brought in that I disagreed with. I have strongly disagreed with running a halfway house of troubled players so it is not as if I worship Jerry, I give credit where I see it and blame as well where I see it. What I have hated however is those who will claim any good things that happens is because of someone else and all bad is Jerry, in my view that is complete BS

more dummies and dummies agreeing with each other. Richard and Jerry and Kellen Moore sabotaged themselves. Garrett tried to help them but Jerry wouldn’t let him

KR hasn’t gotten another job correct? Please correct me if I am wrong. 40 years old, Fired by Seattle and they know what they are doing. Brought to Dallas as some sort of savior. 2 seasons and he was totally exposed. Just because you are emotional it doesn’t make you a great coach. Richard just isn’t very good.

It also shows why having a coach like Garrett was a problem. Good young defensive coordinators either weren’t sought after and hired by him, or didn’t want to come work for him. Take your pick. Either way it’s no bueno

Can't blame a person for going out on their own terms at all. If I am in a lame duck year as a HC, no way I allow anyone on my staff to keep me from an extension. My hands would be in EVERY pot until Jerry came down and fired me himself.
Just think I a couple of years when another Bellicheck spawn doesn’t work out Garrett will be in line to take over

who knows he may help himself like he did with wade

Oh I give you Jerry. Jerry is a problem.

LOL...…….What Jerry did was strip him of play calling duties and got him farther away from the offense. Because he was horrid at it.

Jerry is the problem for hiring a loser like Garrett. But after you get passed that point, Garrett was given 10 years to do his thing and he simply couldn't cut it. He got more than his shot. And he didn't deserve or earn any of it.

Agreed. I always felt Garrett didn't involve himself in the defense enough. Most coaches come up on one side of the ball, but the best involve themselves in all aspects of the game.

That's because of the ridiculous setup starting way back in 2007. That carried over for 13 years. One guy was in charge of the O other the D. Didn't matter. HC or not. Makes Jerry a complete *** because it was a detriment from the beginning. Just created more finger pointing.

Jerry is also the problem in not firing Jason sooner also.

And there was no team continuity in team building and also scheme or game plan. Every man for himself. Every unit for himself.

You would think a member of the secondary would know the philosophies of his position coach vs head coach, and how they were different or similar. You would think the line of communication would be better than that.

All jokes aside, if he has success with Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley, he will be a HC again in the League. Wade Phillips had multiple stints as a HC and Garrett likely will too.
