I remember all that. It's just highly unlikely that he is that guy anymore.
Well how about we not come to conclusions until hes in camp and in the games so we can see it instead of speculating. But I'm willing to bet he comes in no worse than 3rd we on THIS team

That's all fine but in NFL years that was a long time ago. I'm all for having competition, and would not object, but keep an eye to the future, not the past.
That's fine to we can have the last present and future on the same team with Dez Coop and Gallup. Plus a potential draftee

Im sure Im walking the thin ledge, but I have thick skin so I have no problem throwing this bone in to the dog pit.
Drafting one of the top 3 WRs in this very deep WR draft class would probably become the WR1 on this roster in a very short time span.
Coop just got payed to be that WR1,and 100m is a huge contract to be the 1.
Just saying, don't dismiss this franchise double dipping if the option is available, it wouldn't shock me.

Rumors are swirling Dez might be coming back to Dallas.

While that seems unlikely, lightning can strike twice in the same place.

What I recall were mis-adventures one after the other punctuated by killer games an dropped passes.

What I remember about Dez was him thinking he messed his knee up one time so bad he missed his doctor appt. and a dragnet was sent out to find him.

Turned out to be nothing. He was just afraid his career was over. No big deal. He should just suck it up.

What I remember was him dropping some passes after he came back too soon after 3 weeks out.

I remember him ranting on the sidelines about them losing and him wanting the ball.

I remember him leading our team all time in catches, yards and TDs until Witten later broke the records after 16 years playing..

only it took Dez 8 seasons to make the records.

You do the math and tell me which was the better player.

I remember him lashing out at players, coaches and owners about being cut without so much as a suggesting he stay and take a pay cut or reduction in his play involvement.

This was hugely a mistake. Beasley complained even worst and they still wanted him back but Beasley said. "No way".

I think Beasley and Dez were correct. Garrett and the other coaches are gone. Witten is gone.

You Dez haters can remain where you are. But anybody with any intelligence can see Garrett was a failure, Jerrah was an idiot to keep him, Witten was jealous of Dez and how Jerrah spoiled Dez..

and Dez got riden out of town on a rail.

Some would like us to believe Dez did something to disgrace the team. Hardly.

Dez can still play. We will all see him again.

How I am not sure or where.

I hope he plays here where he was a legend.

As a kid I read many books about Cowboys who fell out of grace who later redeemed themselves and became heroes again

Hello?

Like all humans, we deserve forgiveness ultimately if we so should honestly seek it. Whether or not Dez has looked at his past grievances and grown none of us really know, but what we do know is by his actions he shows great purpose and for that we should celebrate. Whatever the cowboys or any other team decides to do with Dez Bryant is completely out of our control so the only right and just thing for us as fans to do is wish him the best.

For anyone on this forum making the judgment that Dez Bryant has lost his abilities, can't conform, is really missing the bigger picture here. It's fine to assert our opinions, but shouldn't we question our own judgements before we frivolously throw them about? Dez Bryant the man, the football player, has free will to make his body stronger, his mind more focused, his demeanor more tamed. His story has yet to be finalized, he isn't ready to close the book.

Not coming to conclusions. Just saying, a 31 yo WR that was always a poor route runner, never a speed guy, hasn't played in 2 seasons and is coming off a blown out Achilles has long odds of making it back. If he does come back at a high level, great for him and great for whichever teams takes the gamble. I just think it is a long shot.

I rarely would use the word profound around here..

it's more profoundly annoying.

But your thoughts are spot on.

None of the he that throws the first stone stuff..

But profound words.

I am not married to Dez and romance concerning this team enters into it.

Guilty as charged. When Jerrah sees this team..

It has to remind him of the one he and Jimster built and he gets stuck.

So shoot us both..

Heheheee..

It's like a father who has a child. That child grows up and no matter the situation..

you still see the small boy you took fishing so long ago.

Dez is a small boy for our fans. But he has grown up and has to make it work like we all do.

Wish like a prodical son he would come back and please us all.

We'll see.

Hello?

Dez was only good at 2 routes. The curl and the back shoulder fade.

1. Dak cant throw the back shoulder accurate enough.
2. Dez was done when he was cut. Now with a torn achilles and plus 1 year out of action what can we expect?

Sorry. As much as this would be a great stroy: Dez wont make it back.

I want Dez back so Pollard, Jarwin, Cooper, and Smith can take turns playing in the slot (just to mix things up).

Recent interview with Frazier where he says that Cooper is not recoverable in the slot. Makes sense. His route running reminded me of Beasley first I saw him. Putting him in the slot instead of trapping him along a sideline makes a lot of sense to me.

We can get him there with Smith outside. Gotta respect that speed.

But I expect we bring in a veteran WR, Dez or otherwise, to also gives us that option.

Forget the whole matter of character - he'd already lost a step when we let him go. He hasn't played in an actual NFL game in years now, and the last time he even practiced, he sustained one of the worst injuries an athlete can get. The chances that he's physically any better than a journeyman at this point are remote.

We are split all over the place about Dez.

No one really knows.

I think Dallas knows what they want to do.

For now, nothing.

The pandemic has changed priorities now.

I am going to not worry about it right now.

I am trying to figure out the Draft coming.

Dez got riden out of town? That is revising history.

If he could still play, he would be on a roster today.

Totally agree, if Dez could play, he wouldn't be begging the Cowboys for a job, he'd be on a roster already.
