My hunch is that Clemson WR Tee Higgins is going to be the best of the bunch. Don't know why but he reminds me of DeAndre Hopkins when I watch him play. Don't know how their college tape compares or how their athletic abilities (speed, reach, catch radius, route running, etc.) compare.

none.

BPA may well be WR but there's a near certainty the BPA available in rounds 2-5 will also be WR.
Drafting a guy at 17 you don't expect to be more than WR3 for AT LEAST 2 years is just a stupid use of very limited resources.

Much depends upon who comes available in any given round, although, the Cowboys appear to be inclined to favor defense early. There are certainly some tempting WRs who will likely be available in the first three rounds. If and when the C'boys decide go the WR route or not is anyone's guess. ;)

That's incorrect..but you can keep trying

You probably need to read a football 101 book before we start talking about roster building

And no doubt you wrote it. Lol
Since your such an expert and made your own draft board! :lmao2::lmao2:

what dont you like about Henderson?
I dont dislike him. I just dont like him as much as some here do. I think he needs more technique work than people realize, he could take longer for him to be a starting caliber CB than expect

This is tough for me man... cooper and gallup can win deep but it’d be nice to have a ruggs like wr to burn defenses and make them be weary of the deep threat...but jeudy in the slot would be amazing next to cooper...absolute technicians with their routes....but my pick is Ceedee Lamb. He has the best hands, the ability to play inside out, and is very good after the catch. Give me the bigger, sure handed receiver, who can help on 3rd and 7 or in the redzone. Plus he gives me Hopkins vibes.

Jeudy or Lamb would be steals.
SF will draft a WR or trade with Philly and they will jump Dallas. Philly is moving up I have no doubt and SF needs picks unless they want Lamb. (they don't need much).
This reminds me of the Rice draft; I was begging he would be there for them and SF jumped in and snagged him. I know we need CB's but Lamb is a game changer as far as I can see. And if Philly grabs Lamb Dallas will have to draft Henderson (if there) or trade back and go totally defense early and get a WR later on. JMO.

Had Dallas taken D.K. Metcalf last year we wouldn't be having this conversation. Even after he fell all the way to us in the 2nd round they still held strong and drafted that marshmallow. For all of the criticism he got, he was still a steal for a late 2nd round pick. Hill was not.

That leads me to this year's draft. I don't believe the Cowboys are putting WR at high priority. They do this a lot. They ignored the position after the 2016 season. Then when dumpster diving didn't work during 2018, they had to find a WR. Then in 2019 with Cooper, Cobb, and a much improved Gallup, we had legit WRs.

Now it looks like we're doing it again. Lost Cobb to FA and it looks like they're ok with that. Was there any interest in Hopkins? His cap hit isn't that bad for the next 3 years. I'm guess Dallas drafts a WR no earlier than round 3.

they paid amari 100 million dollars lol. You are reaching

His coverage technique gets sloppy

Most important thing in a QB is coverage ability, confidence, and ball skills. Which Henderson does. These guys usually can really on their talent at the college level. In the pro's they typically have to work on technique.

I would not pass on Henderson because he has sloppy technique. Once he starts getting torched in the pros he will start listening. Or maybe he starts prior. For me, much would depend on the interviews and his character. If he is an idiot, then I would probably pass.

True, but the deal is really just a two year deal. 17m the first year and 22m the 2nd year. If they cut ties with him after two years there is only a dead cap hit for 6m. That is a pretty good deal with low guaranteed money considering. What it does, is all allow them the possibility that if they draft a guy like Ruggs, that they can move on from Cooper early in his contract.

50 Mock Drafts - Summary Results
By Position
Mocks By Player POS Mocks

CB 20 C.J. Henderson CB 14
DE 17 K'Lavon Chaisson DE 12
S 5 A.J. Epenesa DE 4
WR 3 Kristian Fulton CB 4
DT 3 Javon Kinlaw DT 3
Javon Kinlaw DT 3
Xavier McKinney S 3
Cesar Ruiz OL 2
Trevon Diggs CB 2
Grant Delpit S 2
3 WRs with one vote each

For the most part, the mock drafters have abandoned the idea of a safety in the first round for the Cowboys and are now heavily invested in corners and defensive ends, with CB C.J. Henderson and DE K’Lavon Chaisson emerging as the favorites.

50 mock drafts and guess who are the two guys most likely for us to pick?

Who is the draft expert? Not you.

I may be wrong, but unless somebody the Cowboys believe is a top 6-7 pick falls to #17, I don't see them considering WR in the first round. We don't need a top 1-2 receiver, and it's pretty hard to imagine using a first round pick to round out the top 3 at the position.
