Two veterans Dallas should consider bringing in to back up Dak

I’d be content with either. I think its ridiculous this fan base doesn’t want a proven backup. We have been very fortunate Dak hasn’t missed a game, but if he did cooper is no better than the likes of Brandon Weeden and that God awful stretch of backups when Romo when out.

If a team is really considering themselves, than they need a proven backup qb. Not a rookie 4th round pick smh.

Rush is the backup. The Joneses like him.

Matt Moore could function well in the Cowboys offense. I like him a lot more than Rush.

Somebody to push Dak would be nice. It is not these two.
The thought of bringing in one of these guys reminds me of buying one of those nasal washers..

I think its called Navage.

I have never had a need for that. The thought of choking on it cures me immediately.

Same if we wanted these guys.

Jalen Hurts makes some sense as a worthwhile backup depending on his cost to draft.

The3rd rd is as early as we could afford..

unless Dallas trades back out of 17 an picks up a draft pick. Then using on of our 3rd rd picks on a Hurts makes sense.

Only problem is, I thing our 3rd rd pick will be a center. Not a project QB.

It will be interesting.

So many unknowns with the draft this year.

Wild.

Here's the problem I have with Holleran's evaluation of at least Glennon. He thinks that somehow a bad QB that has some NFL experience is better than what he thinks is a bad QB with little experience. A NFL QB that is going on his 5th team in his 7th season should be all ANYONE should need to disregard this QB for any serious consideration. QB don't move around like that if they are even remotely good. I would rather go with the younger QB that has been here and has at least thrown some to the receivers on the team if it is only in practice.

Moore is a little different since he has some good starts but not so sure that if he isn't good enough to backup Mahomes, why would he be good enough to backup Prescott.

I'm in favor of adding a potential high upside QB to the roster, but a veteran is a waste of time. The Cowboys are not going to have much success in 2020 if Dak is not playing.
Did you watch the Chiefs season last year?

If not, I guess you didn’t read the article

Moore played 2.5 games when Mahomes got hurt

“64% of his passes to go with 659 passing yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Moore showed he could still sling it, and led Kansas City to wins in two of the three games he played in.”

Seemed to work out for the Chiefs last season but I’m sure there were plenty of Chiefs fans who said backup QB was irrelevant

I'd rather stick with rush and be in contention for a top 5 pick. I don't want to go 500 or 600 with a backup. We need the backup to lose out and re load in the next draft like we did in 2015 season, 2016 draft.

I think most backups are only expected to sit in for a few games. The fewer the better. You still want a chance at winning those games, but who has a legitimate starting QB as a backup?

I'm well aware and I saw him play.
