My friends and associates keep telling me how great Tony Pollard is and that he's better that Zekie. Well, I remember a back by the name of Felix Jones who everyone thought was the next Emmitt when the Boys had Marion Barber. Isn't it funny when the guy playing second fiddle has seriously gaudy numbers until he's asked to carry the baton. I can I get an amen!!!!
Don’t forget Julius Jones!

pollard is a weapon to be used properly. he never carried his team in college, so he is not a work horse, but he has speed, hands and can be used to create mismatches. he is not Alvin Kamara.....but dallas fans always over value their own players...
He is somewhat. Alvin Kamara

Yes, Zeke's better, and that's why he's our #1 running back, but I'm thankful to have Pollard. I remember how frustrating it was to have a great running back like Emmitt Smith, but then if his backup had to play, he was a scrub like Curvin Richards or Derek Gainer. If Emmitt wasn't playing, we were basically hozed. When Pollard comes in, we know we've still got a good running game while Zeke takes a breather. It's not a signal to the other team's D that we're definitely going to pass. Pollard's doing his job well. He's not as good as Zeke, of course, but he doesn't have to be. If he were as good as Zeke, we would be better off trading one of them away for a #1 draft pick or some other need.

You hate zeke. Zeke is our team. Like all of our players...are...our team. Nope....not responding to the wrong poster.

I guess I look at this whole "team" thing a little differently than you. Hmm okay {shrug}.

lol.....zeke is not our team. He is a player. My love is for the team itself and not any individual player.

it’s one reason why I can look at zeke contract and his poor attitude and all field problems and see that it’s a detriment to the good of the team. Or can be.

Zeke looked terrible the first half of the season. There is no denying that.

There are definitely things that Pollard does better. I would have to see Pollard for longer to say that he is better than Zeke. Can he carry the load, stay healthy, block?
Why the question about Pollard carrying the load.....he didn't do that in Memphis.

Like I said....we'll look at what a "team" is, and how we support a "team" differently. However...obsessing about things you can;t control certainly must be.... unhealthy.

The question should be is Zeke better than Demarco Murray in his prime? I don't really think he is.....
I don't know if he is better, but we still have some Zeke left. He doesn't fumble the ball like Demarco used to. Man that drove me crazy especially during the Packers loss.

Zeke stinks!
Cut him now and let our offense truly shine.....:muttley:

Keep our O line and the offense will be just fine. His salary and draft pick would have been better spent on defense.

2 of the top 10 leading rushers teams made the playoffs last year. Zeke is waste of money.

Murray carried the rock 390 times and he killed it. Cant fault Murray because the next coach put him in a rotation. And even is Zeke is actually more durable, Im not sure that makes the difference. Murray could certainly do his thing for 4 or 5 years which is all I want a RB for anyway. Ill move onto the next guy after that.

Now lets talk about being a team leader, model citizen, role model and teammate? Murray is a 10 out of 10 there and Zeke is a 3 out of 10. Murray missed a few games because of injury and Zeke missed 6 because of suspension.

But Agreed, there is no landslide for either guy other than the salary part and the draft position spot.
Yes, Murray did carry the rock and killed it. Without question. I've said so in my posts.

And I agree you can't fault Murray or his coach not putting him in higher use over his time in Dallas, but neither can you credit him as if were in higher use over his time in Dallas, or give him credit for stats that we can only assume if he had been used more. Unfortunately, it will always be an unknown.

As for Murray being more of a team leader, that's a point I have already agreed with. You get no disagreement from me on that front.

You're correct 100% a total waste!!!!
Remember those 6 games Zeke was out how our offense ran wild and we went 6-0 in that span and made the playoffs as the #1 seed.

That's a false statement. 4 of the top 10 rushers and 7 of the top 10 rushing teams made the playoffs, and one of them was the Super Bowl runner up.

Only 3 of the top 10 CB's made the playoffs, might as well dump all CB's also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's funny is that the "RB's are useless" argument has been obliterated, but people are still desperately hanging onto it.

Worse than that. They completely misused Murray by running him primarily outside. Murray looked like an outside runner, but he wasn't.

What happens is they take and twist the concept that a top RB isn't absolutely required into meaning a top RB doesn't doesn't play a meaningful role. It's twisting things to fit a narrative.
