I wouldn't lose any sleep if they pass on Kinlaw and those knees. Besides, Interior D-Line not as big a need as Edge and secondary at the moment.
Remember Ron Learys degenerative knees?

Guy is still going.

I'm hoping Kinlaw is there for this reason. Been my hope from the beginning.

Get me a S and a CB on Friday and I'm good.

If this was last year and Richard was still the DB Coach, they would be all over Diggs. Will McClay likes to draft long CB's, it wouldn't surprise me if they have Diggs just as high as Henderson.
Not as a nickel...and certainly not a guy that plays with his attitude. I’ll be surprised if Robertson makes it out of the 2nd honestly, every expert/insider I hear talking about his tape is nothing but overwhelmingly positive.

He doesn't have any experience playing inside. Teams will find ways to isolate him against bigger receivers.

Dane has said it himself that he isn't as plugged in to what Dallas is doing..he's in Browns country now and has a better feel for them..he obviously still has some contacts and Diggs is the hot name..but he isn't around Cowboys football anymore
Yeah.
For those thinking this is what Brugler would do, that's not the case.
Brugler ranks Diggs 33rd.
This is just his speculation on what various teams would do.

Only concern I have with Diggs in durability issues. Kid had solid production and always shown great technique around football plays. Diggs got hurt his junior year (which was on his way to an understanding season) and resulted into him coming back for his senior season. Diggs and Terrell Lewis for that matter played this year not to get hurt because the injury bug bite them both their Junior years.

Nothing wrong with taking Diggs at 17 just off potential alone. Kid has the size, speed and can make plays on the ball, while the ball is in the air. 5 years in this system, the production will come and would say more so than what 31 gave us in previous seasons.

Diggs number vs press coverage in 2019
33 targets
9 catches
3 interceptions
7 forced incompletions
23.0 rating allowed

Find me a corner with similar or better stats than that??

You can't. He was the best in the country in press

17 to 30 on his list doesn't include many defensive players at Any positions..let alone a need position..so unless you want to take an OT, RB, Qb, or LB...You are probably "reaching" no matter what. At least according to his list

Listening to the Locked on Podcast about this mock. They said that according to Dane if Henderson and Chaisson are gone the next two they like are Diggs and McKinney.

I heard that podcast w Dane...he was definitely uncertain when he threw those two names out...especially on Mckinney...Kevin Turner made it a point to mention that there has been zero interest from the cowboys in Mckinney

Lewis has had 4 surgeries. Played a total of 600 snaps in college. Also suspended for part of 2019. Didn’t run at the combine. Projected 40 is 4.8. Way too many red flags for 51 overall

I can't link it so consider my reputation the link.

Don't have trust issues.

Here's the Cowboys class. You know where to find the rest.

1(17) Trevon Diggs CB Alabama
2(51) Terrell Lewis EDGE Alabama
3(82) Logan Wilson LB Wyoming
4(123) Devin Asiasi TE UCLA
5(164) Jack Driscoll T Auburn
5(179) Jordan Fuller S Ohio St.
7(231) Cordel Iwuagwu G TCU

Not a fan. Our first and second rounders are pretty close to same value in my opinion, 2nd.

Gotta grab a wr, I'm huge fan of Gabe Davis from central Florida in the 3rd over a LB, can get a good tight end prospect later.

This Isolation may be clouding my judgement..

I give him credit for all the work he did.
Kind of painted the Cowboys into a corner there because his draft has no trading.
If we have Diggs ranked at 33 like he does, we'd be completely nuts to take him at 17. That's almost paying double.
I suspect we have him a bit higher though....but still. Yikes

Most rankings..not that they mean much..are similar to Danes..once you get past 15ish..16-30 don't have a lot of players that would fill needs for the Cowboys..

So yes, let's say Dallas has Diggs rated 25 or so..but he's the next highest defensive player on their board..if they can't move down, they don't have many other options

I just don’t know what to think about Diggs bc I don’t know what kind of athlete he is. The scouting reports reqs better in zone and struggled with long speed so was hoping to see him run.

Hard pass on Lewis in the 2nd.
