He has been offered a ridiculously expensive contract. He just wants a shorter one so he can cash in even more after the other young QBs set the market higher.

He was terrible at the end of last season. Not being able to put up a touchdown in the biggest game of the season is embarrassing. The eagles sold all out to stop Zeke. And dak couldn't make them pay. He was awful. Not a guy that should be turning down 34-35 million a year if you ask me

I don't think you pay a player whatever he wants just because he's a QB, but maybe you're right. I just look at Wentz and Goff and even Wilson and it irks the hell out of me that Dak can't take a deal that pays him more than those guys are getting paid, more than anyone has ever made playing football, and be happy. Why is one year such a BFD to him? Does he not realize that every dime he gets paid is a dime the team doesn't have to spend on defense or put offensive talent around him? Does he just not give a damn? He could've been the good guy in this, taken the $35/m per for five years and made tons of money being the beloved QB of the Dallas Cowboys, without paying state taxes on any of it. But no. He had to push this as far as it would go, and is refusing to sign because he wants to renegotiate after four years instead of five? That seems completely selfish to me and it pisses me off. I used to be a huge Dak Prescott fan.

Good point. And nobody really knows for sure expect him and the cowboys.

But I just don't see how you can justify giving him 35 a year, regardless of the length. I know Goff and Wentz both are right around that number. But Goff was coming off a tremendous season in which he lost in the Superbowl. Wentz does not have near the surrounding talent that dak does, but just led the eagles on a great streak and clearly outplayed dak in the biggest game of the season. I'm not saying Wentz is better because I don't know. But I would take him over dak. He has elite arm talent and dak does not. There's a reason dak was a fourth round pick and Wentz went at the top of the draft. He would have been mvp if not for his injury a couple years ago.

He was also working through shoulder injuries in December as well. I am disappointed Dak is holding out in this manner as leader of this team, especially considering his chances for injury are slim in virtual off-season. But let's be fair about his injury circumstances and that other offensive and defensive players on our team didn't exactly play lights out as well. It doesn't just take Dak to win a game and certainly not to lose a game either. It is a team sport. Just my opinion, but I believe this coaching staff not only confused but demoralized these players.

A mediocre , regressing QB like Dak is now playing hardball with jerry . it is amazing how jerry is caving to a QB that clearly is not a big time player . He went 1-6 against winning teams last year and got beat by the jets and the bears as. well. The best scenario for the cowboys , which i doubt will happen unfortunately , is if Dak holds out and is traded. Getting stuck with Dak for 4-5 years will not yeild a SB . It will be always around 8-8 as usual . You need a difference maker at QB to win a super bowl with our defense and Dak is not it .

I understand what you are saying. It is a team sport. But if I'm going to make a guy the highest paid QB in the league, I expect him to be the difference in a game where all you needed was literally one touchdown to get to the playoffs. His shoulder seemed fine the following week against Washington. I just think the eagles executed their game plan which was make dak beat them at all costs. Zeke wasn't going to be able to do anything

exactly , the eagles dared zak to beat them with his arm and accuracy , and he could not even score 1 touchdown . there were no excuses. He had Zeke, a top OL , and Amari etc . Plus the defense played well. Dak could not do it. why are so many fans stubborn to face the reality of how mediocre he is ?

Eagles didn't sell out to sell Zeke what are you talking about? Zeke just sucked like the rest of the team did. Also doesn't help his coach didn't run him more.
