We’ve invested premium in the trenches for 10 years. How’s that working out?Build from the trenches out.
People get caught up listening to the Mel Kiper’s of the world because the guy knows his shi_!Win for a change.
I have been saying draft a center #1 since Beard left.
Yes trade back and pickup value but get the best center available.
Beard was a #1 pick himself.
He was no bargain basement pickup.
People who think the 3rd will be good enough are just dead wrong.
The centers will be long gone by then.
People get too caught up listening to the Mel Kipers of the world.
They are not building a football team. Just their financial bottom line.
Center folks..we already have the glamour players. We must have the best set of muscle up front possible. Looney and Connor ain't it.
Everything changes with Garrett booted out the door! We’ve invested premium in the trenches for 10 years. How’s that working out?
I don’t believe in investing so many premium resources in OL. I think we have a premium LT,RT,RG any good coach should be able to work around that. If this team was smart they’d sign Leary and have a 3 way battle for starting center.Everything changes with Garrett booted out the door!
If big Mike thinks it’s the thing to do?
Thank Michael Irvin's off the field shenanigans for that. That is how we ended up with Greg Ellis instead of Randy Moss!
That is a ridiculous statement considering that Frederick has started for years and Looney has only filled in. Frederick has had several seasons with more wins and the OL didn’t give up 50+ sacks.Yeah sure. We also won more games w Looney at center than Fredbeard. I guess Looney is better.....
The chances of getting a for sure game changer at 17 is iffy at best.I totally understand that, especially since I was an All State Center in high school, BUT you don't need to use a 1st round pick to pick up a very good Center. Like Mickey Spagnola said, this team has too many holes to fill. Best to use our 1st round pick on a game changer type of player.
They have been drafting defense and the results don’t show it.They'd better start drafting Def or we're never going to play in the NFC championship game.

Exactly. Defensive players (especially in the back half of the first round) take a long *** time to developThey have been drafting defense and the results don’t show it.
If they select a center in the first round. I am going to vomit.
17. DALLAS. “It’s too high for a center,” said one personnel wag, “but they love the Michigan center (Cesar Ruiz), and they could trade down a few spots and still be sure of getting him.” Interesting: a plug-and-play heir to Travis Frederick.

I don't know about Kiper.People get caught up listening to the Mel Kiper’s of the world because the guy knows his shi_!

A center at 17 in this draft would be monumentally stupid...……………..so yes, it would have to be an obvious trade down scenario to the 20s range.
Still dont like it, there is going to be a blue chip player at 17, like Chaisson, Delpit, Lamb, ect….
