Barkley is the better, more skilled back. There is no question about that. You want to say Zeke is more durable? Fine, no issue here.

However, Zeke was suspended 6 games in his 2nd year and is dumb enough to get suspended again. So one could argue that its a wash on that front.

Im also not one of these guys that thinks you need to give a back 350 carries a year. Give me Barkely and Pollard all day over Zeke and Pollard. YOu need multiple backs, not one guy that gets all the carries.
Lots of questions.

We hear that every year though. We'll get some obscure photo from an undisclosed location of a blurry fat Zeke in the background from some hard hitting news organization like TMZ. Then the season starts and he runs over people and racks up 1000+ yards with the Cowboys running him until his tongues in the dirt. I'm no Zeke apologist, I think the only thing stupider than Dallas taking Zeke with the #4 overall pick was the New York football Giants taking Barkley with the #2 overall pick. But I can promise you the rest of the players in the NFL would echo Collins on who they'd rather face with a football in their hands.

I have a few problems with Zeke.

1. The money.. No RB is worth big money. They are too easy to replace.

2. He’s a grade A knucklehead.

3. His big play ability has diminished every season. 2016 was unbelievable and he just looks bigger and bulkier every year.

I'd rather have Barkley than market setting salary Zeke. Be quite a duo - Barkley and Pollard.
wait until barkley becomes a FA or hits last year of his contract. he is going to blow mccaffrey out of the water.

fans tend to over react to new salaries and new contracts, where in couple of years after that, the salaries and contracts seem acceptable and not outrageous....McCaffery already surpassed it, Barkley will surpass McCaffery

No I won't change my mind after Barkley sets the market because I think Barkley is the superior player.

You forget three telling Stats when it comes to bell cow rbs, TDs, games missed, and team wins. You will never convince me brittle bark is better. Like someone in the 90s trying to tell me Sanders was better than the all time rushing champ. I always left that debate with where was Emmitt’s nfl line in HS when he set those records, at Florida when he set those records...Zeke is a stud and Brittle Bark had a good rookie year, injury plagued second year and helped his team to what? The only thing BB has over Zeke is elite speed and elusiveness....similar to the HOFers debate. Anyway have a good day @aria i do admire your passion and approach. I just will never be convinced until both have completed their careers, hopefully you can respect that.
One injury behind a horrible O line and he’s brittle? The only thing he has is speed and elusiveness? I giess you missed yards after contact? Do you know what that means, he’s talking more hits than Zeke.

Anyways, based on your criteria it’s honestly nice to know a Cowboys fan admits that Eli was better than Romo.

I agree, we could go back and forth all day and I do think Zeke is a good RB but I think Barkley would be a lot more terrifying than Zeke behind our O line. Have a good yourself man!

Romo was considered the better QB for the majority of their careers. Doesn't take a Cowboys fan to think that, most experts did.

While he does have two rings I would still prefer Romo. I’m just glad we both are diehard boys fans despite how we look at the players. God Bless

$108 million for 8-8, money well spent.

Zeke 8-8
Barkley 4-12 (and injury prone and gets a few long runs to increase his fake average)

Who is better?

That is the criteria you sat.

JAH to you....Just Another Hater...

With all those explosive runs, crazy how saquon still can’t hit 50 yards a game 1/3 of the time he plays.

Barkley will be paid more.
To lose a lot more.
SB is sensational but he is game breaking or doing nothing.
Tough to win that way.

Zeke needs to get back to his rookie size. Like others have said he's come back heavier each year since.

He can get the "dirty yards" but like MBIII I foresee a shortened career if he doesn't change his punishing style of toting the rock.

Barkley doesn't always try and run people over. If I had to guess he'll have a longer career. Kind of like Marcus Allen or Barry Sanders, defenders can't always get a good hit on him. Zeke invites hits which is good for highlights, not so good for a long career as a RB.

Lol, are you trying to say the Emmitt and Barry’s O lines were even remotely as good as each other?

Seems like Emmitt thought Barry was better too, but what does he know? He’s just a hack RB, right?

Yes, we had a good OL when ES was here but let's not act like Barry was running behide the Burt Reynolds football movie line here also.
And yes ES would say Barry was great, he would not be like MJ, now ask him if anyone was better than him.

Zeke never broke the bank. And that panthers rb just took top dollar, havent seen how his is structured.

Barkley is clearly the better back.
No he clearly isn’t - Zeke is a better blocker and receiver out of the backfield and Barkley is about equal when it comes to running the ball (even though Zeke should have 3 rushing titles like I stated in my original post). People buy into this Barkley hype but the kid hasn’t even lived up to the media’s hype in my opinion.

Its the little things with Zeke that people take for granted. Same things they did with Emmitt.

There's not a better short yardage back in the league. You need that 4th and inches or 4th and 1? Zeke got it.
Not a better pass protector. He's saved Dak a few times with his blocking.
Durability. No one has been more durable.
How many times even with poor run blocking have you seen Zeke go for negative yardage?
I think his power is underrated too. As proof by Collins comments.I think because of how Zeke came in the league with more breakaway speed he was considered more of a speedster but every game I see him put licks on people. Makes people think twice before tackling him.
