With the 2020 NFL Draft right around the corner and the start of a new coaching era for the Dallas Cowboys, who is going to miss the Jerry Jones/Jason Garrett era? Please raise your hand or hit the 'like' button.

I think I might end up missing it. I’m curious to see how well McCarthy handles the circus criticism that surrounds this team. It’s something Garrett and Parcells handled pretty well, and it’s something that gets out of hand so quickly if it isn’t actively contained.

I also am in the market for some new young Cowboys players to root for. Gallup and LVE are great. I want a couple more guys in defense who have real potential and an arrow pointing up.

First loss.

Dak will get it worse at first, because of the big new contract, but if he continues to deliver at the rate he did last year, the hate will switch to McCarthy as soon as the hard 50/50 decisions start coming up. Any tough call he makes that doesn’t go his way and he starts losing points that, as a HC he can only get back by winning championship games. That’s how it works with angry mobs.

I had just as much hope that the Garrett/Jones era would work as I do that the McCarthy/Jones era will work. I never rooted against Garrett. But at the end, it was certainly time for a change.

Obviously, the Garrett/Jones era was disappointing. But no more so than the Gailey/Jones era, the Campo/Jones era, the Parcells/Jones era and the Phillips/Jones era. That's a lot of disappointing "eras" for fans to endure. But with the numerator remaining the same for the McCarthy/Jones era, I'm going to temper my expectations, thank you very much.

I have a feeling no one will if they commit big money to Dak for four or five years.
I'm afraid nothing will change.

Ill miss the good memories but im ready for a change. People expecting anything different with Jerry as owner still are crazy though. Jerry runs the team and makes the calls.
