Learning to throw the ball away is a huge thing that most quarterbacks take years or may never learn. Hes not inaccurate and you just contradicted yourself with the last comment. How has he improved on the throwing the ball away but has bad pocket awareness...

Yes, he was 5-1 against the NFC East. In that one loss, he probably should not have played due to injury but he did. Now people like you think you are making some great point when it isn't.

If the W/L record matters, Dak is a top 10 QB. Of all the active QB's with at least 1 year, Dak's winning percentage is top 10 in the league. His W/L percentage is better than Wentz, Goff, Foles, Mayfield, Brees and many others. If you are going to use the W/L record as a QB stat, then Dak Prescott already has an incredible body of work. If you're going to pull out the teams in our division that are sub-par, then you need to do the same for every other QB you're judging by the W/L record. Quick fact, the teams with winning records beat most of the teams they play.

Keep in mind, the OP shared REALLY cherry picked stats and I genuinely don't like Prescott holding out for every penny. It's a mistake on his part...and our part. But Prescott is absolutely one of the better QB's in the league and still improving. Last year saw the biggest improvement in his passing skills, IMO.

I don't know what his ceiling is, but I'm enjoying the ride. I think he's foolish for asking for top dollar even if he was the best in the league, which he isn't. The salary cap is going to explode in the next couple of years and his percenteage will quickly level off. BUT, it's still a mistake.

All of that said, you countered the OP's obviously cherry picked stat with your own obviously cherry picked stat.

Zeke is one of the league's best RBs. There is no denying that. Jerry paid Zeke before Dak because Zeke unexpectedly held out a whole year early and forced Jerry's hand, thus forcing Dak to be delayed a whole year later. Don't worry, Dak is going to get his big contract right after the draft.

You’re spinning I don’t put any of our losses on Dak. He has a hand in some of our losses just like all QBs have a hand in some of their teams losses but for the most part he does enough for us to win games. Rarely has he been the sole reason we lost a game. I posted a positive opinion of Dak and you took exception. Do you want him as the Cowboys QB yes or no?

I’m not making anything up, it’s hard to get a read on you. Anytime someone posts something positive about Dak and a fan takes exception one can only assume they’re one of his many detractors on this board. If you haven’t noticed there’s a lot of Dak haters here. You need to relax and stop trying to turn this into a big argument.

Point is though I doubt many actually see the Vikings as true SB contenders. I always think they will come up short at some point with Cousins as their QB - as they have done the past few seasons despite having a good team. I think he's a good QB, similar to Prescott but when I look through Superbowl contenders I just think at some point they will get beaten along the way.

I think the Vikings are Superbowl contenders. Let's look at Vikings path...NFC Conference only boasts Wilson, Brees and Rodgers top tier QBs with Superbowl winning organization.

Vikings have 22nd and 25th overall picks with a formidable defense.

This is the formula with Dak unless Dak takes the next step and has an All Pro season.

I don't even see the Vikings winning their division next season but they might make it as a wildcard team.

With all that being said, the NFC is there for the taking and it was last season. The best teams in the NFL currently come from the AFC (Ravens and Chiefs) with the Bills looking ready to make a run.

NFC has a bunch of teams competing and really comes down to home field advantage or particular match up in the play offs.
