Just read a tweet we could see quite a few trades........

I thought the Alexander deal was a bad one from the beginning. I can't see anybody wanting to take that on.

A quick turnaround on Ford too.

But none of the names really appeal to me.

I'd prefer to just make the deal with the Cards for Christian Kirk.

Sh...I'd be willing to give up a 3rd that can become a 2nd with escalators, assuming they're able to work out a new deal first.

If the 49ers trade a player they're still responsible for paying a portion of that contract, right? That would actually makes it a little cheaper to trade for one of these guys. So I'm sure they'll find somebody that wants to deal with them.

Dee Ford is too stupid to play for the Cowboys.
Under the old regime, maybe, but not the new regime.

That is a lot of overpriced "injury riddled" players:

Kwon Alexander - Missed 18 games in the last 2 years. Has 3 years and $26 million remaining on his contract. He would be worth the price tag if he wasn't injured so much. = Pass. I 'm not paying this guy $9 million a year to ride the trainer's table.

Jaquiski Tartt - Missed 19 games in the last 3 years. Has 1 year at $4.3 million left on his contract. = Pass. Guy does not intrigue me at all

Dee Ford - Missed 5 games last year and only had 6.5 sacks. Has 3 years and $47 million left on his contract. Pass = I am not paying $16 million a year for this guy. If I was willing to pay that much then I would have just signed Robert Quinn to his $14 million a year contract he got.

Marquise Goodwin - Missed 12 games the last 2 years. Has 2 years and $10.5 million left on his contract. Maybe = His speed intrigues me. 4.27 Forty at the combine. If he is currently healthy I would probably toss them a 7th round pick for him but nothing more.

LOL...in other words, just wait until the 49ers release them.

2 years 10 million may not be that bad for Goodwin, but he's not a slot guy, hes not a punt returner,..(kickoff yes) and he's fragile. he's injury prone.

what stands him out is his blazing straight line speed. he can really take top off defense in a blink...just like tavon austin, if you can get him in space and running momentum.. ..boom.
But otherwise he's just a situational -spot receiver. He's a 4th WR and kick returner. And that durability issue is scary.

But if theres's an interest in Goodwin, that tells me that's about Kellen Moore who i believe has been stressing and emphasizing speed and splash plays
in this offensive personnel since his emergence as OC.

Ditto with Dee Ford.
he'll be age 30, and making 15 million,..nah, i'd much rather go with Gregory and Aldon Smith ...while i also invest long term in one of the young edge rushers in this draft.

Is there like an equivalent to Craigslist for the NFL? Gotta like dumpster diving and garage sales. So, if Jerry was dumping players and contracts like this, many would claim this is proof that he is a poor GM. Who was the GM for the 49ers who signed these players to these deals? That GM must be a real moron.

When you are well coached you can sacrifice starters and plug in new guys. Keep the cupboards stocked with more picks. Formally in Dallas we needed a star at every position to win 9 games.
